Hello, Fireflies!
Today is the last day of the Geometric mani theme for this challenge! I dug into the vault for this one, for a mani I liked, but just hadn't posted yet.
I started with a gorgeous shimmery teal, Carpe Noctem South Haven Sunset.
In an unusual move for me, I wore Sunset Haven for a day, and then dressed it up. You can tell by the sheet marks and scratches!
I used tape to create some triangles with LA Splash Ocean's Fairy.
And then, I added more triangles with gold glitter and blue shimmer stripers.
Finally, I finished it off with a black stripe. Or, another way, 1/3 of a triangle.
Bottle shot: Carpe Noctem South Haven Sunset, LA Splash Ocean's Fairy, stripers in gold glitter, blush shimmer, and black.
Next month's theme is stripes! Or, 1/3 triangles...or 1/4 squares...
Really nice abstract triangles! Love the base color too.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lisa! Carpe Noctem makes some nice shimmery colors.
DeleteGimme your patience w/ nail art. I can't, for the life of me, even do a decent weekly mani, I suck :-(
ReplyDeleteYou don't suck - we just have different talents!
DeleteOk I'm not going to lie, I really liked this UNTIL the black. I just loved how the colours were meshing but then the black kind of took something away from the shimmery thing going on.
ReplyDeleteThat's one of the reasons I take pix at different stages. Sometimes, I lack an editing eye.
DeleteAbsolutely stunning! I would totally wear this design.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm thinking you could turn it into an amazing eye look, too.
DeleteI like it - and the colors go together nicely. You always choose color combos I'd never think of :)
ReplyDeletethat's such a sweet compliment! I am often driven by what's cluttering up my desk at the time! lol
DeleteVery cool. I love your colour combo and the black accent. :D
ReplyDeleteThanks! Kimmi doesn't like the black accent. lol
DeleteOh, wow! I loved South Haven on its own, but I adore how you dressed it up. What a cool idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks! This was just a doodling moment!
DeleteI really really love this color combo. I am digging the base shade in South Haven Sunset. It is simply gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI do love Carpe noctem's shimmers. They are so pretty!
DeleteCarpe Noctem South Haven Sunset is stunning OMG
ReplyDeleteThis is a teal I think you'd love!
DeleteNice design! Idk why the movie "Divergent" popped in my head when I saw it.
ReplyDeleteI just saw that movie not too long ago.. oh, on the makeup collection there is a shattered glass kind of background. Maybe it reminds you of that?
DeleteNice design! I love the base shade
ReplyDeletethanks! It's currently on sale in her shop!
DeleteGreat design and colors! Love it!
ReplyDeletethank you!
DeleteWhat a fun mani! I love the first two shades especially!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I was having fun picking colors to go together.
DeleteLOVING that glitter!!
ReplyDeleteLA Splash is so affordable, too. I get it on sale at Cherry Culture.
DeleteI'm all about that base color, girl.
ReplyDeleteIt's on sale at Carpe Noctem's Etsy site! She makes some awesome shimmer polishes.
DeleteI love this base color, it is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI agree. it's not your average teal.
DeleteThe mani is just gorgeous. I love the color combo you used and the triangles are fierce!
ReplyDeleteI'm so proud; I came up with this on my own. I'm glad you like it!
DeleteVery abstract and cute!
ReplyDeletePretty! I have those stripers too!
ReplyDeleteDo you know where you got them? Mine were a gift, and I love them!
DeleteI need to try this asap
ReplyDeleteAs always, if you do, I'd love to see it! Feel free to post on my Facebook wall. :)
