I Have A Face Full Of Insta-Natural! #Instanatural #niacinamide

Product provided for review.  All opinions are my own.

Hello, Fireflies!

Today, I have a bunch of products from Insta-Natural to tell you about.  They run the gamut from one that I think should be named after me, it's like it was made just for me - and one that didn't work for me at all.

Insta-Natural Niacinamide Vitamin B3 Moisturizer

Let's start with the one I didn't like first, the Insta-Natural Niacinamide Vitamin B3 Moisturizer.  I'm actually a little conflicted about this, because this is a rich cream, and I don't usually use rich creams because they break me out.  This didn't break me out... but I really disliked the texture.  It felt like I was trying to rub paste on my face.  It dragged, it pulled, it stuck.  My old face was not happy.

The packaging is an opaque, white plastic pump that delivers a decent amount of the thick, unscented cream.  If the texture weren't a problem, this is actually a pretty good moisturizer! Niacinamide is getting a lot of buzz as an ingredient that really works on reducing redness and pigmentation - it's apparently a small enough molecule that it can penetrate into the skin.

At least it absorbs quickly, for a thick cream.  I do not like thick, greasy face creams that just sit on the surface.  Frankly, if it had a little more slip, I wouldn't have anything bad to say about it. I might use it as a hand cream, or give it to my husband, who has thicker skin than I do.  I'll tell him it's a manly cream, for manly, thick-skinned faces.  He knows I'm a delicate flower.

Next, I tried the Insta-Natural Youth Express Eye Gel.

The packaging that I like so much for lotions, I really don't like for eye gels.  This is the second eye gel I've tried that used this packaging, and it just dispenses too much, at least at first.  The good thing about this eye gel is that they recommend using it not only around your eyes, but also on your cheeks and forehead, so none of the gel is wasted.

The ingredients are designed to mitigate puffiness, pigmentation, and wrinkles, and to firm and strengthen the skin. I did like the cooling sensation, and felt it did help with puffiness right away.  It didn't do much for my pigmentation, but I don't have a lot, and honestly, most eye products on the market take months to see any lightening of dark circles. My eyes do look more well-rested, which I do like!

Insta-Natural Youth Express Eye Gel is a clear gel.  It's not too thick or thin, applies smoothly with the right amount of slip, and absorbs quickly.  I put it on with my serums and moisturizer right out of the shower, and by the time I finish my hair, I'm ready for makeup - no problem.  It hasn't interfered with my makeup at all. If you prefer a gel to a cream like I do, this might work well for you.

One of my surprise favorites was the Insta-Natural Moroccan Rose Water toner

I have a thing about packaging.  I want the perfect packaging that is both aesthetically pleasing and completely suited to the product's properties and intended use.  Here, we have an amber glass bottle that protects the efficacy of the rose water, so yay!

But here's the boo.  Open mouth jar.  Ok, if you're going to use it in your bath water, it's easy to pour out.  If you're going to use it on a cotton pad, you can put the pad over the mouth, and it's fine.. but you can't really control how much comes out.  Same if you're going to use it on your hair.  It's water, right? So it flows like water - fast.  And I don't want to waste a single drop!

I was never a huge fan of rose-scented things before, but wow, does this smell good.

Actually, that is one thing I love about ALL of Insta-Natural's products.  Either they don't have a scent, or they smell fantastic.  The Argan Oil Hair Mask smells like caramel.  The Hyaluronic Acid Serum smells fresh and herbal-y.  The Vitamin C and Skin-Clearing Serums smell like sweet orange.  And this rose water smells like the most amazing fresh roses - definitely not old granny roses.

I didn't put a picture of the ingredient list because there's only one - rose water.  Did you know it had so many uses?  I didn't.  It's a lovely, non-astringent toner for the face, you can put it in the bath, use it as a scalp treatment either by itself or mixed with shampoo, or you can just smell it up and relax.

I am not wasting this in my bath, but I may try it on my hair.  I do love it on my face, though.

The Vitamin C Serum from Insta-Natural has so much more in it than just Vitamin C.

It also has two of my favorite oils for skin care - Sea Buckthorn and Rosehip.  So good for your skin, especially for issues with dryness or eczema. It also has jojoba, a skincare favorite, and the new and exciting buzzworthy carrot seed oil.  It's also supposed to help reduce the appearance of pores, which I think it does, at least for all but the couple of craters I have on my cheeks where my glasses sometimes sit.
Insta-Natural Vitamin C Serum smells like sweet orange and just feels amazing soaking into your skin.  The cobalt glass packaging helps protect the efficacy of the serum, and the dropper dispenses as much or as little as you want.  Frankly, I wish this serum came in gallon jugs.  I just want to dip myself in it.

This is a great morning serum because it doesn't have retinol in it, though you still have to be careful with the sun when you use Vitamin C.  Frankly, you should always be careful with the sun, but retinol makes your skin very susceptible to sun damage.

I saved my favorite for last.  Insta-Natural Age-Defying Skin Clearing Serum.  Did you see the clouds part, the ray of light shine down and the angels sing? Yep.

Insta-Natural Age-Defying Skin Clearing Serum

I always thought that my skin was just weird - aging skin that is oily and acne-prone?  While it's nice to not have as many problems with dry skin, it sucks to be over 40 and still battling pimples like a teenager.

Insta-Natural Age-Defying Skin Clearing Serum has many of the wonderful ingredients of the Vitamin C Serum, so it's great for aging skin, fighting wrinkles and plumping up older skin that is losing elasticity and firmness.  It also has Retinol and Niacinamide for fighting discoloration and wrinkles, and Salicylic Acid for battling the bacteria that causes pimples!
Like the Vitamin C Serum, the cobalt blue glass bottle with dropper is designed to protect the efficacy of the serum and give you control over dispensing the thick serum.

I would definitely repurchase this and the Vitamin C Serum and use as a set for morning and evening.  It's like they were tailor-made for my skin!

If you made it this far, I applaud you, and reward you with a little glitter!  I don't remember what colors I was wearing, I just noticed that it matched the bottle!

This mani I did special because it reminded me of the cobalt blue glass, and the rainbow glitter is for all the different color labels in this collection.  The dark blurple base is Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Pagan, and the glitter is a combination of Sally Hansen Salon Vintage Confetti (black, pink, and gold hexes with some tiny hair glitter) and Pink Dream (iridescent gold and rainbow glitter in a light pink base.)

Do you feel as strongly about packaging as I do?

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
