Hello, Fireflies!
Having been around this worldy block a few times, my skin isn't as pristine as it once was. I have some stretch marks and scars that I was tired of seeing, so when I got the opportunity to try out Body Merry's Stretch Marks & Scars Defense Cream, I figured it was worth a try.
First impressions. I love a seal. I want to know that nothing has been using or tampering with or getting into my product since it left the warehouse. I also want to know that I'm not going to find cream all in the threads of the jar from jostling during transport, either.
Yes, I know, it's a jar. We all hate jars.. for the most part. This cream is thick, though. Like whipped shea butter kinda thick. Pretty sure that any pump dispenser would just frustrate me with this cream, so jar it is. I am also more lenient with products I use on my body versus my face, too. So, the jar was okay by me.
As with any jar product, you're best off taking part of it and putting it into a smaller jar if you want to keep the product as pristine for as long as possible.
One thing I like about a lot of Body Merry products is that they use a lot of natural and organic ingredients, and they don't use parabens, sulfates. or phthalates. There are a lot of ingredients that I recognize as being good for my skin, like cocoa butter, aloe vera, and lots of plant oils. I would think that the Niacinamide is responsible, too, for some of the skin lightening and brightening, though Body Merry also says that the moisturizers reduce the appearance of marks by plumping the skin and evening out the skin tone.
I admit it, I didn't use this cream twice a day. For me, it worked better as a night cream because it's very emollient. It smells very nutty, like shea, or oatmeal. I kinda like it.
I took all the pictures with the same camera, in the same room, but I'm guessing at different times of day, which might account for changes in lighting. I did no retouching of any kind to the pictures, save cropping and adding text and a watermark.
These are some stretch marks I have near my armpit. You can see by the skin tag that it's about the same location in both pictures.
This is a scar that I have on my hip from a surgery I had about 40 years ago. I wasn't expecting much to change with a scar this old, but the skin is definitely smoother than before.
I was inspired by the packaging on the Body Merry's Stretch Marks & Scars Defense Cream. I painted my nails with L'Oreal Coral Starfish, a bright orange with golden shimmer, and used Rica's The Golden Egg with the 'saran wrap' technique (paint over the DRY base coat with a contrasting color, and lift off parts of it with crumpled plastic wrap) to replicate the subtle pattern in the background.
If you're interested in reducing visible stretch marks and scars, or even just smoothing and nourishing your skin, this might be a good option for you. Body Merry offers a 90 Day 100% Satisfaction Guarantee on all its products, with no need to return the jar! If you'd like more information about Body Merry, you can find them on Facebook, their website, and Amazon.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
