Bringing My Skin Back To Life with Kleem Intensive Rejuvinating Vitamin C Serum

Product provided for review.  All opinions are my own.
Hello, Fireflies!

With all this cold weather, even here in Florida, even my oily skin is feeling a little drab and dull.  Rich moisturizers just tend to make me break out, so I look for serums to get extra nutrients into my skin.  My favorite skin-brightening ingredient is Vitamin C, which is a big part of this Intensive Rejuvenating Serum by Kleem Organics.

This is a very, very thin serum, with a consistency much like water.  When you pump it out of the sleek, airless container, it can splash a little.  I just cup my hand to capture all that goodness, because that airless pump is keeping the ingredients fresher, longer.  What I also noticed the texture is that it spread and absorbed super-quickly, making it an ideal serum for my mornings.  Not only can I get on with my day faster, the light scent is refreshing - Kleem calls it a light orange scent, but I actually get more of a floral/cucumber vibe from it.  It's very light, and doesn't last long.

(ETA: The owners of Kleem wrote to me and said that there is a newer version of this serum that has fixed the pump spray issue, and the new scent is indeed orange.  Better and better!)

Many of the ingredients are familiar, like aloe, witch hazel, vitamins E and C, and Jojoba oil, 72% are organic, and the serum is made in the USA without animal testing.  I think this fits well with the Kleem mission statement: "Express your Natural beauty embracing the magnetic Power of attraction: Kleem combined with Organic ingredients from Mother Nature for Eternal Youth."

Not only is the Vitamin C a brightening agent, helping to diminish dark spots and undo sun damage, this serum contains Arganine, an agent that is supposed to increase collagen in the skin.  As we age, our skin loses collagen - and the less collagen, the more sagging and wrinkles.

I did a lot of damage to my skin as a kid, and I'm looking for ways to lighten those spots now.  A serum with 20% Vitamin C in it like this one is helping to mitigate all that time I spent trying to tan in the 80's.  When I think about how I used to pour baby oil on, trying to get a tan - only to burn and peel! I wish my teen self had embraced my pasty-whiteness as much as my elder self has.

No makeup, no filter.... though I may or may not be using my logo to hide an amazing stress-zit and breakout on my chin.  I was going for subtlety.

And speaking of subtle, I was inspired by the sleek packaging and lightness of the serum to create this pseudo-negative space, striped mani.  I used SpaRitual Quietness for the base, then added in the grey top and bottom using China Glaze Intelligence, Integrity & Courage.  I used black and white stripers to create some contrast.
