Healthy Makeup from Cuepido Cosmetics #cuepido

Product provided for review.  All opinions are my own.
Hello, Fireflies!

I'll admit, I don't always make the best choices when it comes to putting things on, or in, my body.  So, when Cuepido Cosmetics offered me the chance to try some healthy, natural makeup, I jumped at the chance to do something right for my skin.  I have lots of pictures, and a review for you of their liquid foundation, concealer, and loose powder.

Cuepido Cosmetics was founded on Valentines' Day, 2013, and that's the inspiration for the Cupid logo! And, this company is certainly a labor of love.  The founder, Hannie Teh, loved makeup, but after recovering from a terrible skin condition, she became sensitive to regular cosmetics.  Her solution was to create her own line that is made from healthy, natural ingredients like flower and plant extracts, vitamins, minerals, and essential oils.

They're also formulated without parabens, sulfates, phthalates, triclosan, and fragrance.  And, they're made in the USA.

Cuepido Put-on Wonder is a water-based, liquid foundation.  I found it to be a light-to-medium coverage foundation.  It dries very quickly to a matte, powdery finish.  I tried applying it both with my fingers, as the directions suggest, and with a damp beauty blender.  With my fingers, I felt it dried too fast, and the finish was a little streaky until I finished with powder and a misting spray.  I found the sponge blender gave me more time to work with the foundation, and also build it up, before it dried.

In both cases, however, I felt like I had a 'foundation face' when I was done.  Misting with my Mario Badescu Rosewater Herbal spray perfected the look, giving me a more skin-like finish, and then it lasted for hours.  I didn't have any oil breakthrough for the whole day.
I love that the foundation comes in a clear container with a pump dispenser.  My pump didn't work, as it was missing the tube.  I let them know, and without my asking, they sent me another bottle straight away.
This foundation comes in five shades.  Cream, the one I chose, is the lightest one with a pink undertone.  I think it was a good match for my light/medium skintone.
This water-based, oil-free foundation with SPF 15, antioxidants and vitamins, is currently available from Amazon for $37.99.

I used a light amount of coverage with the foundation, so I had a few things I wanted to cover with Cuepido's Flaws Away Concealer.
The concealer has a brush applicator, which is something I hadn't seen before.  It worked pretty well to distribute the concealer where I wanted it - under my eyes, down to my cheeks, and on a few blemishes.

It comes in five shades, and I again chose the Cream shade.  It has a much yellower tone than I was expecting, but it worked for me.  It reminded me of the yellow correcting powders, like Ben Nye's Banana powder.  I felt like it had really good coverage, and it didn't feel greasy or heavy.
Flaws Away is a full-coverage, non-greasy concealer, and currently retails on Amazon for $26.99.

When it comes to finishing a look, I love a translucent loose powder.  I love that soft-focus, blended look, and my oily skin really needs a little something extra to soak up that oil during the day.
This is a very, very airy powder.  I accidentally put too much on my hand, so I tapped off the excess before buffing it in.  The powder is so light, it does blow around a bit, so I recommend using a light hand when getting it out of the container.  My favorite ball powder brush from It Cosmetics worked great to both lightly apply it, and also buff it in where I wanted.
This setting and blurring matte powder is currently on Amazon for $46.99.

I have a scary, no-makeup picture first, then a light application of the foundation.  The concealer went on top, and then all the makeup, with powder on top, finished with a mist of Rosewater spray.
This is the foundation that I applied with the blender sponge.  I love how it works with the Cover FX Illuminating Primer to give me a glow, without looking shiny or glittery.  I did apply a bit of blush from the Estee Lauder palette, but no bronzer, so maybe I photographed a little paler than usual, but in Real Life, I am that pale! lol.
Products used:  Estee Lauder Pure Color (bonus palette), Cuepido foundation, coverup, and setting powder, OFRA khaki eyebrow gel, YSL Rose In Tension, Chella Ivory Lace highlighter, CoverGirl Intensify Me Eyeliner and The Super Sizer mascara, and Cover FX Illuminating primer.

The next look is when I applied the foundation with my fingers (still over the Cover FX Illuminating Primer.)  I actually applied all the Cuepido products in the morning, worked around the house, took a nap, and then put on the rest of the makeup in the evening.  In this picture, taken about 12 hours later, I haven't touched up any of Cuepido products all, and the only thing I put on top was the blush.  Color me impressed!
Products used:  Cuepido foundation, coverup, and setting powder, Hourglass Ambient Blush (mood), The Body Shop Smoky Plum eyeshadow palette, CoverGirl Intensify Me Eyeliner and The Super Sizer mascara, Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Stunner, and Cover FX Illuminating primer and OFRA khaki eyebrow gel (not pictured)
