Sleepy Cream

Press Sample.  All opinions are my own.
Hello, Fireflies!

I was surprised when Vita Sciences showed me that I could take B12 through my skin, and I'm wowed that I can also take Melatonin that way, too!  My nighttime ritual always includes lip balm and hand lotion, so why not use a hand lotion that's going to help me sleep on the nights I'm having trouble?

I'm pretty sure that I have Netflix to blame for my recent sleeping trouble.  Too easy to just keep on binging on some of those awesome shows!  Between that, and my recent illness, I have been just staying up all night and napping during the day and evening.  I've been trying to get back on a sleeping schedule that lets me actually spend time with my husband, and I've made Vita Sciences Maxasorb Melatonin a part of the plan.
Vita Sciences Maxasorb Melatonin
Melatonin is the hormone that regulates our Circadian rhythm, or our sleep-wake cycle.  In simpler times, people were meant to get up and go to bed with the sun, but now we create our own artificial sun - and sometimes, our bodies' cycles get out of whack.  If you're traveling to a different time zone, or changing work shifts, or, like me, discover that Netflix will just keep playing all night, you might want a little help getting your sleep cycle adjusted.

Each metered pump of Maxasorb Melatonin has 3 mg of Melatonin in it.  The cream itself is light, unfragranced, and absorbs quickly with no greasy feel.  I've had mixed results with it helping me get to sleep, but I do tend to get in my own way.  On nights I bring my tablet to bed, nothing is going to keep me from playing Candy Crush!

I have to help the Maxasorb help me.  If I really want to get some sleep, I have to leave my tablet in another room. I like mixing the cream with a few drops of aromatherapy oil, and do some deep breathing exercises to help me relax.  I used a hydrating sheet mask for about 15 minutes before bed one night, and found that to be a nice treat, too.  I don't know that this is for those with chronic insomnia, but it has been helping me on most nights when I help myself.  It's getting myself to bed early that has been the problem!

My mani today is inspired by the purple starscape on the packaging.  I used a few different purple polishes to create this look - the base is a mix of Red Carpet Lacquers Vixen, CoverGirl Bombshell, and Sugar Cherry On Top glitter.  The stars and planet outlines are done with L'Oreal Masked Affair, and LA Girl Dolphin Smile.
If you'd like more information, or to purchase Vita Sciences Maxasorb, you can find them on their website, Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and on Amazon, where Maxasorb B-12 is currently on sale for $19.95.
