Better Eye Care in a Wink #VivantSkinCare

Press Sample.  All opinions are my own.
Hello, Fireflies!

Squinting, squishing, and crinkling - when our eyes start wrinkling, we start feeling older.  Concealer will always be a part of my makeup routine now, but I can help my skin look its best by incorporating a good eye cream, like Wink Eye Rejuvenation Cream, that de-puffs, smooths, and hydrates the delicate skin around my eyes.

Vivant Skin Care was founded by James Fulton, one of the developers of Retin-A, and his wife.  Dr. Fulton dealt with acne and problematic skin, which led to the creation of his line of products to help with acne, hyperpigmentation, and aging skin.  His products have shown to be particularly effective against these issues in ethnic skin types, which tend to be more resistant as a rule.
I pretty much know that if a product has hyaluronic acid in it, my skin is going to be more hydrated and look smoother.  Hyaluronic Acid can absorb many times its weight in water, so it draws moisture into the skin and holds it there for a while, plumping the skin and smoothing it out.  Aloe, Oat Extracts, and Grape Seed Oil help heal and moisturize the skin.  Caffeine shrinks blood vessels, de-puffing the skin and also lightening dark circles caused by capillaries close to the skin.  Kojic Acid and Vitamin A help the skin to turn over and reveal new skin, making it look brighter and younger.

Looking at the ingredients, I can tell it's not vegan, as it contains Carmine, which I imagine gives the lotion its pink tinge.  It also has parabens and silicone, so if you're sensitive to those, you may want to give this creme a pass.  Personally, I like the texture and slip that dimethicone gives to skin products, especially ones like eye creams that I don't want to create any tugging or friction during application.

I found that my undereye area felt smooth, less puffy, and hydrated while using this cream.  I like the opaque packaging, which helps protect the ingredients from light, and the pump dispenser, which helps prevent contamination (though I do wish it actually dispensed less product at one time! I always end up with more than I need.

For more information, or to purchase, you can find Wink Eye Rejuvenation Cream on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Google+, Amazon, and their website, where it currently retails for $57.50.
