Hello, Fireflies!
I don't know about you, but I'm exhausted after a weekend of intense shopping! I didn't have to fight anyone over the last hit toy of the season, or anything like that, thankfully! If you were out and about this weekend, maybe your feet and legs were hot and tired, too. I want to tell you about some things that have saved my feet and made my legs look better than ever!
I grew up in the era of pantyhose and knee-high hose, and I have a bit of an aversion to them as a grown up - especially here in uber-casual Central Florida! I wear a lot of sandals and flats, and recently have fallen in love with ballerina flats. Well, I love them, but my feet - not so much. My feet swell and rub and the shoes stick and then I end up with shoes that either give me blisters, or make that weird suctioning sound as I walk - or worse, both!
When Kushyfoot approached me about trying some of their products, I was just hoping to get to try some of their Flats To Go shoes, but I was about to have my shoe-world flipped on its head by these amazing toe covers and foot covers that I didn't even know existed!
The foot covers are foot *savers*. I can not tell you how much I love them. My feet don't rub and chafe in my shoes anymore! They also have a little extra padding in the ball of the foot that cushions each step. These are so low-cut, you can't see them with the shoes on, either! They're a little snug when I first put them on, which meant they didn't always stay on, but by the second time I wore them, they fit like a glove.
I wore the toe covers to a friend's house, and when I slipped off my shoes, her mind was blown, too! She wears a lot of heels, and I know she wants some of these cute lacy toe-covers for her strappy stilettos. The lacy top means that even if it pokes a little out of my shoes, it's a cute accessory, and the clear strap in the back is pretty much invisible. One strap did break the first time I wore it, but I fixed it in 2 minutes with a needle and thread. They're not expensive to replace, either.
The knee-highs came in a solid black pattern and a fishnet mesh that was a bit racy! whoo! They have a gentle graduated compression that feels so good! I had a blood clot in my leg a few years ago and had to wear the ugliest compression socks for months. I still get swelling in my legs, and now I'm going to reach for these instead of those ugly ones!
The Flats To Go are so light and comfy, and easy to tuck into a purse or work satchel. The ones I received are the 'alligator print' in black - a textured, shiny, plastic-y upper with a light sole only meant for indoor use. These 9/10 sized slippers fit my 8.5/9-sized feet okay, but the heel has a lot of extra room. The elastic fits to the back of my ankle, which means there's just a flap of shoe on the back of my heel... which just looks strange.
I really liked that most styles came in both black and nude in the same package. They are the most useful colors for me.
You may have noticed that in some of the shots, my leg is lily-white, but in the large center picture, and the ones up the right-hand side, my legs have a golden tan. I owe that to one of the newest products from Cocoa Brown Tan - Lovely Legs Spray Tanning Makeup.
If you need instant color that covers imperfections and then washes off, this might be the tan for you. It really does have a 'makeup' effect in Real Life - it's like my legs, but better. It's not like their 1-hour tan product I tried in that this is an opaque 'makeup' look, not a bare skin look. But there's no wait for the color to develop, and the dry time is negligible. This covered up my freckles and varicose veins, and even made my stubble invisible...
Cocoa Brown Tan sent me their Pink Velvet Mitt to apply the spray. It's a really nice mitt with a foam-like inside that acts as a barrier between the tanning spray and my skin. It's also washable. It really did a nice job - please forgive my less that perfect pictures. My husband helped me with the application, and, well, he tries hard. He just doesn't know about applying makeup! Still, in Real Life, it looked even and smooth.
I'm really impressed with both of these brands! I can see a lot of uses for the Lovely Legs in my life - especially since I'm not very good at planning on using tanning products the night before. I can, however, take an extra 10 minutes before a night out or holiday party to apply a little sexy, smooth color to my pasty stumps.

How are you helping your legs and feet look and feel good this holiday season?
