Refreshing Vitamin C! #refreshvitaminc

Press Sample. All opinions are my own.
Hello, Fireflies!

I took a lot of vitamins growing up, but Vitamin C has always been my favorite.  I loved drinking orange juice (and sometimes, we got to mix it with Tang, for more Vitamin C!) and it was the only vitamin that came in yummy chewables.  I have good associations with Vitamin C, and even more now that I know how good it is for my skin.  I've reviewed a lot of Vitamin C serums - how does this one from Refresh stand up?

When it comes to skincare, we all have different skin types and preferences.  I happen to love a serum with a citrus scent.  If you put an orange on the label, I expect an orange scent.  This serum has no artificial fragrances, though, so no orange scent - it really doesn't have much scent at all.  Maybe a light, subtle hint of freshness, if anything.
This is also a very thin, watery serum.  It comes in a cobalt-tinted bottle, which helps protect the serum from light, with a dropper for dispensing, which is perfect for this formulation.  Because it's so thin, I don't need more than a few drops to cover my whole face, and it soaks in very quickly. I thought it was going to run right off the back of my hand before I could get a picture!

Though the texture of the serum is thin, it is packed with some of my favorite skin-loving ingredients.  Besides Vitamin C, it also has Vitamin E for healing and brightening, Glycerin for adding moisture, Hyaluronic Acid for retaining moisture, and Niacinamide for clearing up blemishes and discolorations, as well as rejuvinating aging skin.  This natural serum is free from alcohol, gluten, GMOs, added fragrance or colors, and is vegan, cruelty-free, and made in the U.S.A.

Nailart inspired by the [re] fresh label! The orange is a combination of China Glaze Pop The Trunk with LeChat Orange Blossom layered on top.  I used Deborah Lippmann My Prerogative in the gradient, and dabbed some Color Club Crystal Baller on top for some holo water bubbles.
I use this serum in the mornings, as the first layer of skincare on my cleansed skin.  It has the nutrition my skin needs, and it dries quickly, so I can layer on any other serums I'm using, and my moisturizer, as well as any makeup I might wear.   I would recommend this serum for anyone who wants a serum with multiple ingredients to target different symptoms of aging skin.

For more information, or to purchase, you can find [re] fresh on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, Pinterest, YouTube, and on their website, and Amazon, where their Vitamin C Serum currently retails for $22.44.

Do you use Vitamin C on your skin?
