Vita Liberata and Billion Dollar Brows are Press Samples. All opinions are my own. |
So, yesterday, I showed you all the different ways I used the Vita Liberata Body Blur, including as a bronzy primer for my face. I wanted to show you what I used to complete that look, including the new, fab collab palette between Makeup Geek and MannyMUA.
I admit, I'm a fan of the Manny. I especially love the eye looks he creates, so I knew I was going to love his palette. I love Makeup Geek anyway - and I already have a couple of these shades, including my fave, Cosmopolitan.
I've discovered a few new faves, too, including the gorgeous rose-gold Artemis, and a surprise - the matte Aphrodite. Everyone is going on about Mars, the rich cranberry matte, but it can be hard to pull off. There are tons of tutorials working Mars into looks, but I wanted a warm, neutral look, and this palette has all that I needed!
I feel like I do a lot of these warm, neutral looks, but I just can't get enough of them. The mix of Cosmo and Artemis on my lids, with a little pop of Luna in the tear duct gave this such a nice metallic sheen in Real Life. And Aphrodite took on a maroon tint when blended in, that I just loved.
Even though the Vita Liberata felt too heavy for me (but I don't even like to wear full-coverage foundation,) I can't argue with the radiance! I feel like a SoCal SunBunny.
I used a lot of new and old faves to create this look. The Billion Dollar Brow pencil is holding strong, and is still one of my faves for creating a brow that stays on all day. The It Cosmetics foundation is just amazingly light - if you're like me and hate to have that heavy foundation feeling, you need to check out this stuff.
Have you seen those foundation brushes that look like oversized toothbrushes? I bought a cheap one off ebay, and used it for the Body Blur, foundation, and creme blush. Love it! It's super dense and soft, though it's weird to get used to applying foundation with a totally different brush movement.
