MAKE Yourself Into Whatever You Want To

Press Sample. All opinions are my own.
Hello, Fireflies!

MAKE.  It's a great word, powerful.  Create something out of nothing.  It's also the name of a makeup company I received a couple of samples from to share with you.

I actually had heard of this company before, and bought one of their lipsticks, so I was pretty excited to hear I was getting a sample of their Silk Cream Lipstick in Taffy.  It's a light, peachy-pink that is perfect for Spring!  I love peach tones, but they don't always love me back.  Taffy is neutral enough that I can wear it, and pulls pink enough that I love how it looks on me.
The formula is so rich, thick, and emollient! It just glides on and coats evenly.  It's a little heavy, in a good way.  It feels almost grippy, but not in a tacky way.  I really like how it feels on my lips.  Not greasy, not sticky, but with some weight to it.
MAKE Matte Finish Eyeshadow in Alabaster is just a touch lighter than my skin tone, so I layered it on a bit so you could see it.  This would be a great base shade for us fair-skinned folk!

Aside from the great formulas, there are lots of things to like about MAKE. Based in NYC, they pick a resident makeup artist to collaborate with every year to create LE collections.  They give a percentage of sales to their non-profit partner, We See Beauty Foundation, which supports women-led, worker-owned cooperative businesses across the Americas.  And, their products are paraben-free and never tested on animals.

If you'd like more information, or to purchase MAKE products, you can find them on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Tumblr, Vimeo, and on their website, where their Silk Cream Lipsticks and their Matte Eyeshadows both retail for $25.  Lit From Within readers enjoy a 20% off discount now through 4/15/2016 with the code MAKEYOURSELF!

Are you ready to use your creativity to MAKE yourself into something different for a moment?
