A Rose Sprayed On The Face Makes Skincare Work Better #lotusknotrosewater

Press Sample.  All opinions are my own.
Hello, Fireflies!

Getting a skincare routine down that you love can be difficult.  There are so many lotions and potions out there - serums and moisturizers, masks, cleansers.. do you really need a toner?

What is Rose Water, anyway?  When plants are steamed for their oils, the oils are cooled and separated from the water used for the steaming.  That steam condenses into a Hydrosol - a fragrant, mild version of the essence of the plant.  Lotus Knot Rose Water is made from non-GMO petals of the Bulgarian Damask Rose.  It smells fresh and sweet, not like old lady powdery rose.
Rose water is high in Vitamin C, and other vitamins and nutrients.  It's known to be a natural anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and antiseptic.  It's also supposed to be able to stimulate blood circulation, balance skin pH, and increase collagen production.

I avoided toners for the longest time because I hated using those drying anti-blemish toners in my youth.  Today's toners are much milder, and used for all different kinds of skin, not just acne-prone.  I found that there are two ways to get me to use a toner - make it smell nice, and put a sprayer on it.  I admit, I am not about the whole soak the cotton ball/swipe production.  I don't know why, but it just turns me off.  I find spraying my face to be much more efficient (no loss of product), faster, and refreshing.
In my skincare routine, I try to use the toner in two situations - one, after I wash my face, before I apply any serums or moisturizer.  Toners are supposed to be a boost to serums, helping them penetrate even deeper into the skin.  Secondly, before I use a mask, I like to spray on a toner first.  Having my skin wet means that the mask will take longer to dry out - and a dry mask is a dead mask.  I'll sometimes refresh a mask with additional spritzes of toner to re-wet and reactivate a mask, too.  The toner will help the nutrients in the mask penetrate deeper, as well, so it just helps masks work that much better.

I've really enjoyed adding Lotus Knot Rose Water to my skincare routine.  I think it smells really nice and fresh.  I like the cooling sensation of the spray, and it doesn't irritate my eyes or skin.  I feel like it's helping me achieve better results with the rest of my skincare, too.  Come Summertime, I may put a bottle in the fridge, for even more refreshing results!

I tried making my own lotus knots! The base is Sonia Kashuk Spice It Up, and I created the logo with a white striper and Sinful Colors Gold N' Roses,

If you like the scent of roses, and want to get more out of your skincare and masks, you might also like Lotus Knot Rose Water.  For more information, or to purchase, you can find Lotus Knot on their website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and on Amazon, where this 4 fl. oz bottle currently sells for $16.40.

Have you ever tried a rose water tonic?
