Looking Younger With Derma E #DermaE

Press Sample.  All opinions are my own.
Hello, Fireflies!

This week has been a Derma E-xtravaganza!  I've talked about my experience cleansing with Derma E, and polishing with Derma E, and today, I wrap up this series with some of the things I use to help nourish and moisturize.

I doubt I'll ever be able to adopt a completely clean and healthy way of life, but making small changes helps.  Derma E looks at skincare from a holistic view, and I feel good about supporting their causes of clean energy, recycled packaging, and cruelty-free ingredients.
There's only one thing I didn't like about Derma E's Purifying Youth Serum.  The bottle is too small.

Seriously.  On the one hand, it's almost the same size as the Eye cream.  On the other hand, I really want to bathe in this stuff, and the bottle is too small and precious.
When you have aging, oily skin like I do, there's always the balance of moisturizing with the right anti-aging ingredients, but avoiding the rich, heavy creams that many companies assume old skin needs.  This serum is creamy enough to serve as a moisturizer for me most of the time, and yet light enough that I never felt heavy or greasy.  My skin was undergoing all kinds of stress from traveling and craziness, and yet it never looked so good.  As I'm transitioning to testing the next batch of skincare I'm reviewing, I desperately miss this serum!  My face was so balanced, my blemishes were at bay, and my skin was soft and smooth.  This is definitely in my top 10 of light moisturizers for oily skin.

Unfortunately, the eye cream didn't work as well for me, but I could see it working really well for those with drier skin.  What is cool about it is that is has one of my favorite skincare ingredients for firming skin - DMAE.  It works to replenish collagen, which makes the skin thicker and smoother - exactly what we want under our eyes.
I could actually feel the InstaLift working immediately with a tightening feeling wherever the cream was.  It's a pretty cool effect!  The cream itself was a little too rich for my oily skin, though, and it just wouldn't absorb fully.  If you have dry skin, or sensitive, thin skin around your eyes, however, I would think this would be a winner.

Derma E has a much more extensive product line that I've shown you this last week - they have lines that focus on many skin concerns - from anti-aging, to purifying, to hydrating, to soothing, to radiance.  I was really impressed with how many of the products worked well with my aging, oily skin.  The charcoal cleanser is something I'd definitely repurchase, and the Microdermabrasion paste is a new favorite.  The Youth Serum is something I need them to carry in a liter size.  There's definitely something for every skin type!

For more information, or to purchase, you can find Derma E on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, and on their website, where you can either purchase online, or find a local or international retailer (they have a store finder here) Currently, the Purifying Youth Serum retails for $29.50, and the Firming DMAE Eyelift retails for $24.95.
