Combo of Challenges - Neon French Mani
I accept the Challenge(s)!
This is the last June combo of Neon and the EcoPolo summer. Next month, I'll have another series of challenges, though! And, I'm sure there will be plenty more Neon this summer!
But for now, here's my Neon French Mani. I started with white, then Pink Cookie neon pink with accents of Salon Perfect Shocked.
I think the Neon Pink and Shocked look like they were made for each other.
Instead of a traditional French, I decided to pull out the blue and do a funky French with Orly In The Navy.
While the traditional white French tip trend may be ending, I think a colored French, or one with nail art over it is here to stay. There are just so many things that you can do with a French tip - even go neon!

Hobby Polish Bloggers - Neon
Not only am I late starting this challenge, apparently, I can't even do things in order. I'll, uh, have to get back to the 3-D challenge. Whoops.
I've done a lot of neon this summer, and I'm starting to like it. It's fun and bright. I'm loving these new neon glitters from Salon Perfect, too.
Orly Truly Tangerine. This is not a neon, but it's pretty bright - and I needed undies for my glitter.
Salon Perfect Bang and Exploded. These two look very similar to me. In fact, I think they are comprised of the same color glitters, but in different concentrations. I found orange, pink, and yellow glitters in both.
The lighter, more yellow glitter on my thumb and ring finger is Bang, and the darker, more orange glitter on my index, middle, and pinky fingers is Exploded.
I tried to do a glitter gradient by putting the opposite glitter on the tips, but I couldn't really tell any difference... except that now my thumb is all lumpy. Neither glitter really shows up over the other - another reason why I think they're made up of the same glitters.
I had to try with topcoat. Wow, they look positively juicy.
Do you like the more orange glitter, or the more yellow one? I'd love to see it with more pink, too!

Combo of Challenges - Summer (neon) glitter
I accept the Challenge(s)! Today's challenge was summer (NEON) glitter. And what says summer more than lime green? Probably lots of other colors, but that's what I'm going with.
Salon Perfect Zapped (lime green with blue) and Kaboom (blue with lime green). More neon textured polishes!
I believe I used the neon yellow Pink Cookie polish as undies for these, but it could probably be built to opacity in three coats or so. For a drugstore brand, these are pretty nice, and, from what I understand, no one else has come out with neon textured polishes yet, so they're on trend and pretty unique. And under $4 at my local Walmart.
I think that Kaboom reminds a lot of us of Floam, but I don't think it's a dupe. For half the price, though, it might curb the craving for some of you.
Feeling summery yet? Would you rock the neon glitter trend? Zapped is a little out of my normal comfort zone, but so far I'm really enjoying the rest of the Salon Perfect line.

Combo of Challenges - (neon) yellow polka dot bikini
I accept the Challenge(s)!
This month, I am participating in the Nail Challenge Collaborative NEON challenge, and the EcoPolo Summer Challenge. So, I'm combining the two when possible. I find it even MOAR challenging! *evil laugh*
I started with a coat of Cult Nails Tempest, which I've shown you before, and if you want to see it again, you can check out my Black and White post here. Heck, if you haven't seen it before, you should. It's a good post. I'm not biased, either.
Salon Perfect Jolt. Sunny yellow and orange matte glitters in a yellow base. Neon, so it dries matte. Needed three layers to get opaque, so next time I'll layer it over a yellow neon.
Here's the Polka-Dot bikini part! I dotted with OPI Black Onyx and a neon orange and neon yellow from Pink Cookie. Ok, I have no idea who makes Pink Cookie, but LOOK AT THE SKULL. You know that's why I bought it (At TJMaxx, in a neon collex you'll be seeing over the month.)
And, with topcoat, because I was curious how the glitter looked topcoated. You see, it's a neon *textured* polish. Yeah, that's right. Run to Walmart, because that's the place that carries them. I understand they're made by the same people who make China Glaze, and the Salon Perfect line does have a few dupes for some China Glaze colors.
Bottle shot. The Pink Cookie neon orange is just about the same color as the orange in the glitter. At first, I was like, "whoa!" but then I was like, "whoa." I guess that's not all that impressive, now that I think about it. After all, how many shades of neon orange are there? At this point, I'm guessing one.
So, how did I do? Are you feeling the polka-dot and neon together? I hope you enjoy the other challenge manis I have for you this month, and how I combine them.
Please check out these other NEON challenge manis from The Nail Polish Challenge Collective!
