Stamped Scary Skulls
Hello, Fireflies!
Today's Adventures In Stamping challenge is to get ready for Halloween with something spooky or scary! I saw this stamp from Cisi & Sisi 11 plate, and I knew I had to try it.
I started off with Milani Black Swift, which is quickly becoming a favorite black. It's one-coat shiny awesomeness.
I love how gold and silver look stamped over black, so I alternated Essie No Place Like Chrome and Maybelline Bold Gold.
I couldn't fit more than one skull per finger, so I tried to get one clear part of the stamp on each finger. That upturned profile skull on the middle finger gave me so much trouble! It must have known, somehow, what finger it was on.
Bottle shot: Milani Black Swift, Maybelline Bold Gold, and Essie No Place Like Chrome.
Are you getting out the black polish for a Halloween mani? What's your favorite black?

What Happens to Ye Who Seek My Boo-ty
Avast, Fireflies!
This here be t'last day of this month's Piratey Nail Art Challenge, hosted by Challenge Your Nail Art Group. I be sad, but no tears! There not be cryin' in Piratin'!
I be leavin ye with a warnin for those who seek my treasure. Black, black jelly with iridescent purple glitters is a dark warning. It's also the description for Polished Components Mattress Mambo.
Along with a glimpse of my treasure are what's left of those who tried to plunder it!
You know I took these off right after I took the picture, but what better time to cover your nails with jewels and skulls?
Now, be off afore I make ye walk t'plank!

Stamping Skulls
Hello, Fireflies!
Today's Sunday Stamping theme is "Bada$$ Nails". When I was a kid, there was no more badass nail color than black, so I picked this cool black with holo glitter - Sinful Colors Starry Night. Does this look like a $2 ($1 on sale!) polish? It doesn't behave like a cheap polish, either. I love Sinfuls.
I bought this stamping plate from Born Pretty Store on sale. I loved the cute, sad skull and crossbones! I also liked that there were two sizes on the plate, because, as you know, I haz nubz.
I used Essie No Place Like Chrome, one of my fave silver stamping polishes, to stamp the skulls. The larger skull fit on my thumb, but I used the smaller one on my index and pinky, and the pirate one on my ring finger. Why did I leave my middle finger blank?
For an awesome 3-D metal skull! Now, that's Badass.
Don't mess with me, I'll poke you with my nail art!

What's your version of a badass mani?

April Fools!
You thought you were getting a regular post with my nubbins? April Fools! I did a few manis for friends and family that I want to share with you today.
My sis-in-law asked for this design while I was visiting. I'd never done her nails before, but she liked how they came out. The base is Rimmel London I Lilac You, and the white and silver are done with nail art stripers.
My friend Toni showed me a pix of this mani and asked if I could recreate it. I did my best! The thumbs and ring fingers are painted with Cult Nails Tempest, which is quickly becoming my fave white. The pink is Revlon Colorstay Wild Strawberry. So fun and bright. I made the hearts and dots with a dotting tool.
Toni's mom, Jill, wanted Julep Eloise, a navy blue, with Girly Bits Fathomless on top. She also wanted a skull/butterfly design, so I found this one on YouTube and tried to copy it.
Maybe it was a zombie butterfly.
On the other hand, she just wanted a skull. The second time was better, I think.
It's not easy doing other people's nails, but I enjoy the challenge. I have to push myself to do things that are other people's vision, and that's a lot of fun. I hope you enjoyed this April Fool!
