Hello, Fireflies!
It may not get that cold here for our Florida winters, but my skin still does need a little extra moisture these days. I find myself reaching for richer hand creams to slather on at night, and after doing my nails, and when I'm sitting at my desk, or watching TV.. well, all the time, I guess.
Even though it's winter, the scent of Keomi Skincare All Natural Hand Therapy takes me right to spring.
The texture of this cream is like a smooth, whipped butter. It's so soft. It has shea and cocoa butters in it, and you can tell in the way it applies and takes a minute to fully absorb. Do not put this on right before you have to open a jar of pasta sauce. Just saying.
All kinds of things to love about the ingredients! Great oils and butters, Green Tea, Aloe.. lots of healing ingredients, which makes sense, given that it was originally formulated for nurses, who wash their hands a lot.
The label says it's vegan, but I see beeswax in the ingredients. From what I've read, there is some debate on whether or not beeswax is vegan, so your mileage may vary. It does have lots of natural and organic ingredients, and is free from parabens, petrochemicals, silicone, gluten, alcohol, and artificial fragrance.
Can I just talk about that fragrance for a second? It says citrus and lavender... but I get a lovely, delightful, uplifting lime scent from this creme, and it's heavenly. It's what inspired me to do this nailart!
I used Sinful Colors Bring It Sheer for a slight green shimmery base - like the soft, bright, clear notes of lime in the fragrance. I tried to do a replica of their orchid logo with Milani Ultra Violet, mixed with a little white and black. The smaller flowers were done with the same polishes.
Keomi products are handcrafted, natural, organic, fair-trade, and cruelty-free. I love when a product makes me feel good about buying it as well as using it. Good for the skin and the conscience.
For more information or to purchase, you can find Keomi Skincare on their website, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest. You can also purchase this cream on Amazon, where it retails for $14, but is currently on sale for $11.97.
My favorite scents for skincare are citrus. What are yours?
