Dance, Dance, Dance the Night Away! #dancelessons

Product provided for review.  All opinions are my own.

Hello, Fireflies!

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, when we were planning our wedding, Mr. Lit From Within and I took dancing lessons.  And we loved it.  When we got married, we didn't plan anything elaborate like the YouTube videos show now, but we had a great time dancing.  There's few things sexier than a great dance partner.

This Dance Lessons Starter Kit teaches you the basic moves for four popular dances - Swing, Salsa, Merengue, and Bachata.

There are a few accredited dance instructors - a partnered set for each dance - that teach you a few basic moves to each dance.  They show you the move, and then break it down in to 'lead' and 'follower' steps, and then put it to music.

Swing was one of the dances we learned over 20 years ago, and while we knew some of the steps, we learned more technique and even some new moves.  I liked that the breakdowns were clearly marked and had new chapters on the DVD so that we could move around the instruction as we liked, without fast-forwarding or rewinding all the time.

There are definite benefits to going to a dance class, like having an instructor correct what you're doing wrong.  But, to be honest, that's what my husband always hated about going to class! My husband, the introvert, really liked that he could watch and re-watch parts of the instruction without holding up a class.

Just by learning a few basic moves to a few different styles of dance, you would be surprised how much music you can dance to.  We've been making Swing and the Hustle work for us at weddings for years.
If you make a mistake, just get back into it.  Honestly, the most important part of dancing is to have fun.

Dance Crazy has lots of videos in addition to this one! For more information, or to purchase, you can find Dance Crazy on their website, or on Amazon, where this video is currently on sale for $24.95.

Have you ever taken dance classes?  Would you rather use a video, or go to a class?
