Dead Sea Mud Invigorates Me!

Product provided for review.  All opinions are my own.
Hello, Fireflies!

I've become a great lover of skincare these days, of the lotions and potions, the tools and oils.  But, there's nothing quite as satisfying as applying a great mask.  My current faves are mud masks, with their ability to absorb oils and debris from my pores, and leave my face clean and fresh.  This Pure and Essential Minerals Dead Sea Mud Mask does that, and a little bit more!

I've been using products that are infused with Dead Sea minerals for a while, and I generally enjoy them.  There is evidence that some minerals, like magnesium, absorb better through the skin than taken internally.  So, it stands to reason that applying a mask rich in minerals would allow the skin to absorb some of the Dead Sea goodness.
Pure and Essential Minerals Dead Sea Mud Mask
In addition to the Dead Sea Mud, this mask contains other great ingredients like Shea Butter, Aloe Vera, and Jojoba oil.  All the ingredients are 100% pure, natural and certified organic. free of sulfates, phosphates, parabens or chemicals of any kind. This mask is also cruelty free, and vegan certified.  I like that I can pronounce and recognize everything in it!
I like to apply my clay masks with a paddle foundation brush, and this mask has a smooth texture that feels cooling on the skin.  It was super easy to smooth all over my face - no chunks, twigs, or anything else.  To me, it smelled like peppermint, and had a menthol feel, but there's no peppermint in the mask, only eucalyptus, so that must have been it.  It is a very prominent scent, and is the kind of scent that gets in your eyes, if you know what I mean.

I loved how this mask felt and smelled.  I actually kept it on a little longer than I meant to, because it just felt and smelled so good.  I was enjoying it!  It rinsed off cleanly in the shower, and my face felt clean, but not stripped, and soft and bright.

My nailart homage is based on the dark green color of the mud mixed with a brightness I feel from the enveloping scent.  I laid down a base of Wet 'n Wild Tree Hugger and then did a dry brush 'grunge' technique with Sinful Colors Vintage, a dark green with gold shimmer.  I then repeated both colors with the same technique.

For more information, or to purchase, you can find Pure and Essential Minerals on their webpage, Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, YouTube, and Amazon, where this mask is currently selling for $24.77.
