Lately, I've been writing more and more about my passion for oils - coconut, argan, and essential oils, among others.  Today's post is about a blended aromatherapy oil from Mia Mariu, with some of the best qualities of many oils!

A blended oil is a mix of carrier and essential oils.  Essential oils shouldn't be applied directly to the skin, so it's blended with carrier oils like jojoba, coconut, macadamia, sweet almond, grapeseed, apricot, and rosehip.  All these carrier oils have their own skin-nourishing properties, lots of fatty acids for skin health and rejuvenation, and help retain moisture in the skin.

The Mia Mariu Relax aromatherapy blend is a soothing and relaxing blend of Lavender, Sandalwood, Cedar, and Clary Sage. Lavender is known for its ability to relax and calm.  Sandalwood is often used in meditation practices for its ability to enhance the mood.  Cedarwood is supposed to help with breathing, and Clary Sage is uplifting and relaxing, and is often used to ease the pain of menstrual cycles.

One thing that really impressed me right off the bat was the protection seal on the product.  So many times I've gotten liquid products in the mail that leaked.  I don't think it could possibly happen with this tamper-resistant seal.  It's actually a rubber compound that looked like it was molded to the bottle.  I needed an Exacto knife to break it!

I'm getting a lot of use out of this oil! I like that I can put it on my skin and it doesn't burn like an essential oil would.  I have also put it on my hair, and pillow for long-lasting fragrance.  I love falling asleep with fragrance!

My nailart homage is a sort of dry water marble.  I put on a layer of OPI Put a Coat On It, a white, thin base to help the colors pop.  When that was dry, I put drops of Sinful Colors Opalescent polishes in Sheer Flight, a teal-green with gold shimmer, and Flight To See, a purple with pink shimmer, and used a striping brush to mix them together slightly.  I love the effect, and it kinda reminds me of galaxy nails!

In addition to the Relax blend, they also have an "I Feel Good" blend with Lemon, Eucalyptus, Peppermint, and Bay Laurel. Mia Mariu has lots of different natural products, from skincare to makeup.
