Oxygenate My Face! #RevivaLabs

Press Sample.  All opinions are my own.
 Hello, Fireflies!

I have tried clay masks, sheet masks, snail masks, blue masks, yellow masks, pink masks - alllll kinds of masks.  This Reviva Labs Green Papaya & Hydrogen Peroxide Oxygen mask is the first kind of mask I've tried like this!

If you've been reading my blog for long, you probably know that I'm a big fan of Reviva Labs.  They are a cruelty-free company that makes some really innovative products with interesting ingredients like green papaya, and Hawaiian seaweed.
I've never used a mask with this kind of texture before - it's not quite a gel, but it's not fully a cream, either.  Crelly mask?  I recommend using an old foundation paddle brush or a mask brush to apply it.  It's very smooth and cooling, and a little messy.

I know it's a jar, and jars are typically not my favorite kind of packaging, but I have to give props to the cool inner lid Reviva uses on this mask.  It's a flexible plastic, reusable lid that creates an airtight seal!  It's really kept the mask fresh and the same consistency each time I've used it.  It's the first time I've seen this kind of jar protection, and I wish more companies employed it!

I was half-expecting this oxygenating mask to bubble because of the hydrogen peroxide, but that doesn't happen.  The mask goes on as a milky gel, and it stays that way.  Unlike clay masks, this mask never hardens.  It may get a little melty if the temperature is warm, but that's it.  No tingling, no bubbling, no cracking.

I wasn't sure how this rich mask would affect my oily skin, but I'm happy to report that it was great.  No breakouts, no irritation.  My skin felt amazingly soft afterwards.  Clay masks will always be a staple for me as long as I have oily skin, but this oxygen mask is a nice change once in a while.  I definitely think that those with drier or sensitive skin would enjoy it more often.

The mask gets a little melty on me after 15 minutes, but never dries or cracks.
My nailart is inspired by the lovely papaya artwork on the label!  The base is LynBDesigns Nanu-Nanu, and I did a diagonal dotticure with Finger Paints Sketchy Character and Sinful Colors Snow Me White.

I can't recommend the stable of products from Reviva Labs enough.  Here's my review of their Seaweed Soap, Hawaiian Seaweed Cleansing Milk, and also their Hypoallergenic Mascara, Vitamin K cream, Elastin Serum and DMAE Cream, Pomegranate Exfoliant, and Nasolabial Fold Cream.

If you'd like more information or to purchase, please check out their Facebook page, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, YouTube, or their website, where Reviva Labs Green Papaya and Hydrogen Peroxide Oxygen Mask retails for $12.00.

Have you ever tried a mask like this?
