My Current Hand & Nail Care Routine #JojobaOil #Nailbutter #Strivectin

Press Samples. All opinions are my own.
Hello, Fireflies!

Some of you may know that I started blogging out of my love of nail art.  I love painting my nails, and sometimes paint my nails multiple times in a day! Even though I can be hard on them with hand-washing, polish, and acetone, I still want my hands and nails to look the best that they can.

When I first started with nail polish, I had very short nails that constantly broke and peeled.  They still aren't perfect, but they've come a LOOOONG way, baby.  I know that my nail care routine has helped a lot.  I am never without cuticle balm!  I love Burt's Bees and Badger Balm, but my current favorite is Nail Butter.  Click here to see my more in-depth review of this amazing balm.

Nail Butter

I really feel like this product is a wonder! The oil of mustard does seem to encourage nail growth, and the moisturizers help keep my nails flexible.  I like the lemon scent, too.

For more information, or to purchase Nail Butter, you can find them on Facebook, Twitter, PinterestInstagram, and on their web site, where it is currently on sale for $24.

I'm also still using the IBX system every two weeks or so, to help maintain the strength of my nails. The Repair Treatment helps to seal any layers that are peeling, and then the regular treatment penetrates the top layers of the nail to bond it and strengthen the nails.

I rarely cut my nails, but I do file them often.  I can't get my favorite files anymore, since Cult Nails closed up shop, but I also like the files from Mont Bleu.  Crystal files are the gentlest ones for natural nails.

Hand care is just as important to me as nail care.  After the face, the hands are tattle-tales when it comes to age!  When I started using Strivectin's Intensive Concentrate for Wrinkles and Stretch Marks, I was using it on my face.  I don't have a lot of wrinkles on my face, and this concentrate was a little rich for my oily mug, so I thought - why not use it on my hands?  They can use the moisture, and I want to prevent those wrinkles that make hands look old and crinkly.
Strivectin's Intensive Concentrate for Wrinkles and Stretch Marks
I only need a little dab to cover my hands with this concentrate.  The tube is a great dispenser - I like it so much better than a jar!  It's so convenient.  The lotion doesn't have a scent, isn't oily or greasy, or leave a residue, and it absorbs quickly.  Sometimes, it tingles a little for a few moments! This is powerful juju.  I love how it smooths out my hands.

After I apply my moisturizer, I like to follow up with an oil.  I like to make my own blends, and jojoba is always the base oil.  I've been using this oil from Levan Rose straight up recently, though, and it does a great job of sealing in the moisture.  This 100% pure, organic, cold-pressed Jojoba Oil from the Simmondsia Chinensis plant is grown in Arizona, is cruelty-free, and unrefined.  It is so much like our natural skin sebum, that our body can't tell the difference.
Leven Rose Jojoba Oil
I use it almost exclusively on my nails, but it's also great all over the body and hair - anywhere our natural sebum protects us, so can jojoba oil!
I like that the oil is packaged in a dark amber bottle to protect the oil from light.  It has a dropper dispenser which makes it easy to dispense exactly what you need - and a little goes a long way! I'm a little clumsy with bottles, sometimes, so I have to be careful not to tip it.

More nail art! I'm totally spoiling you today.
