A few weeks ago, I got together with a few of the lovely ladies of the Beauty Bloggers of Central Florida for a unique nail-portunity!
Cat from Beauty By Cat, Su from Chronicle Stones/Nail Veils, and Brittany (and baby Clumps) from Clumps of Mascara |
Karen of Spa Touch, LLC introduced us to a new product - a new idea in nail care, really - the IBX system. Currently, it's only available as a salon service. Phyrra from Beauty for the Bold and I got to experience this amazing system firsthand.

I have weak, peeling nails, and my index nails tend to split vertically down the middle of the nail. As much as I'd love to have longer nails, I really haven't been able to grow them out. I'm hoping after several treatments, I'll be able to have some length - I'm already seeing some improvement on that vertical splitting of my index nails after one treatment!
IBX was developed to help mitigate the damage people were doing to their nails by picking off or otherwise improperly removing gel nails, but it also helps repair and strengthen natural nails.
Take a look at some of the other success stories from IBX:
After a second treatment, my nails are looking even better!
If you'd like more information about IBX, check out their website HERE. If you're in the Central Florida area and you'd like to get an IBX treatment, please check out Karen at Spa Touch, LLC! She's a pioneer with IBX and is very knowledgeable about it. Ask her about her 3-hour pedicure, too! She can be reached on Facebook, her website, or by phone (407-523-5088) or text (407-432-3712)

I'm still rocking my nubs in the meantime, and at 9am Eastern today, my #NailArtForNubs post goes live, with my flowers over flakies nail art!
That's pretty sweet, I need to take a look into it!
ReplyDeleteIt's a pretty revolutionary product, I think!
DeleteWow you can definitely see an improvement!
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to see if I can actually grow my nails a little longer with these treatments, too!
DeleteSuch a fun event! I like the camaraderie you guys have in Central Florida!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't have nearly as much fun with my blog if it weren't for them. They are some pretty great ladies, and they've introduced me to some amazing opportunities I wouldn't have had otherwise.
DeleteHow fun !
ReplyDeleteI love love doing my nails
Awesome! You know I do, too - and it's even more fun when they're not splitting all the time.
DeleteWow, such an amazing difference!
ReplyDeleteIt's immediately different, and keeps getting better.
DeleteWhat a great event and get together. that system looks promising. I have peel prone nails, several can be very problematic and this could really help them. I wonder if the service is very expensive? Does it cause long term damage? Can you just quit doing it and let your nails revert to their original condition without horror grow out? If I had satisfactory answers t those questions and a local salon, I might be tempted to avail myself. :) Great post. :)
ReplyDeleteEach salon will have their own pricing, but the suggested price for the first treament is around $15, and susbsequent treatments $8-$10. From everything I've seen, there is no damage. In fact, when you're done, there's nothing on top of the nail to see - it's all inside. If you stop doing the IBX, it just grows out with the nail. There's no 'line' or demarcation between treatments like you see with acrylics or gel nails I have no plans on stopping this currently, but I would think that after a while, my new nail growth would go back to the shape they were in before without it. There are some great videos on the IBX site that might answer more of the nitty-gritty questions.
DeleteThe difference is really noticeable, looks like this system is a winner. I know many people who struggle with the aftermath of picking off their gel polish and acryllics, I should mention this one to them :)
ReplyDeleteI habitually pick off my polish - which isn't supposed to be as bad as picking off gel polish - but I'm sure it doesn't do my nails any favors. That's one of the reasons I'm loving this IBX.
DeleteI have peely nails and they forever break because I can't get them right! This sounds up my alley, I have to look into this. Sounds like an awesome day of education!!!
ReplyDeleteAsk your salon to get it - it's so new, they may not be aware its out there. Our group is so lucky to have Su as our Director of Education. She found this for us, and arranged the whole thing.
DeleteI want to get another treatment but can't find a place in Tampa!
ReplyDeleteYou may need to convince your fave salon to get it! I remember Karen saying that its so new they are going to roll it out at another trade show very soon.
DeleteWow! In the winter, my nails hate me and break like nothing. This is so cool. Your nails look fab!
ReplyDeleteMy nails hate me all the time. It's pretty much genetic - my mom has small nail beds, too, and her nails are weak. I want to introduce this to her, too. Thanks, Noelle!
DeleteYour nails look awesome! What a cool opportunity!
ReplyDeleteYou're so lucky to have long, beautiful nails! Thanks, Jess.
DeleteI would love to meet up with you ladies one day!
ReplyDeleteI would love that, too! We have so much fun when all of us get together, I bet you would, too.
DeleteI have met the owners/creators of this, Jim and LInda. You know one of their other products too, Dadi Oil!!!
ReplyDeleteI bet that was fun and exciting!! Did you see that I posed with my ginormous bottle of Dadi' Oil in my last pix? A little homage! lol
DeleteMy nails look exactly like the "before" photos. Eeeep!
ReplyDeleteI hear ya! This winter has been hell on wheels for most of us in terms of keeping any moisture in our skin and nails. Get thee to a salon and ask them to get in IBX!
DeleteOh wow, I could def benefit from this service. I have a habit at picking at my nails. I haven't gotten my nails professionally done in forever!
ReplyDeleteLOL, I saw you mentioned your nails in your last video (the BeautyBox 5 unboxing) I pick at my nails constantly. I can't wear polish for more than a day because I just pick at it!
DeletePerfect after. YOur nails look so great.
ReplyDeleteI'm not used to hearing that about my nails! Thank you. I love that the IBX is helping me grow my li'l nubbins.
Deletepretty cool - you can see a definite improvement
ReplyDeleteI have a lot less peeling, for sure!
