I suppose I'm a bit of a caffeine addict. Perks me up, makes me more focused, gives me a little energy.. and now, it works on my skin, too!
First Botany Arabica Coffee Scrub is made with deliciously scented coffee grounds from Arabica beans. When I first opened the jar, the aroma of the beans just wafted around me. Who needs a morning cup o' joe? I'll have mine salty and grainy, and in my shower. Thanks.
The scrub says to leave it on for 5 minutes to dry before rinsing it off. I usually condition my hair and put the scrub on, and then leave both on for a few minutes while shaving, etc. Be careful moving around the shower, though, because this scrub is oily, and that means a slippery floor. It also means super-soft, moisturized skin, and no more flakes of debris and dead skin hanging around. The coffee scent lingers for a bit, but I don't really notice it once I'm out of the shower and dried off.
Caffeine helps to shrink blood vessels, which can help with discoloration in the skin. I didn't see any change in my spider veins or cellulite, but I wasn't really using it for that. What I really love about this is the scrubbiness and the softness. Aside from the Dead Sea Salt and coffee grounds, this scrub is chock full o' nuts.... nutty oils, that is. So after I rinse off the scrub, my skin is smooth and soft.
First Botany on their website, and on Amazon, where their Tea Tree Oil Scrub currently retails for $14.50.
