I'm glad the Instagram Brow trend is finally dying down. I can appreciate the artistry that goes into a sharp, defined brow, but I could never achieve it, and I prefer a more natural brow look on my own face. Instagram has made me look at how I treat my own brows, though! I fell in love with Billion Dollar Brows Universal Brow Pencil when I reviewed it earlier this year. Can their new Micro Brow Pencil, Brows On Point, sway me away?
Right away, I liked the packaging of this new brow pencil.
It comes in 4 colors - sorry redheads! I've done two swatches with each color - one single swipe to show you how thin the line is, and a thicker line to show you how the color can be built up. All the colors are rather cool-toned. Blonde has an ashy undertone. Light Brown is very light, lighter than I expected for a brown. I can use both Taupe, with it's mushroom-y cool undertone, and Raven, a soft black.
I paired the Taupe brows with a soft, no-makeup-makeup look using my new Mally set from QVC (4k Ultra Fantasy Foundation in Light, Cherry Blossom Lip Shellac, Shadow Stick Extra in Moonlight and Smoky Quartz, and More is More Mascara) along with a black Mally Eyeliner, Urban Decay Afterglow Fireball, and NYX Cream Blush (used as Bronzer) in Bronze Goddess.
I paired Brows On Point Raven with a little more dramatic look.
I paired Brows On Point Raven with It Cosmetics CC+ Veil in Light, CC+ Brightening Blush in Je Ne Sais Quoi, and Bye Bye UnderEye Illuminating Concealer in Light; Lancome Definicils mascara and Black Ebony eyeliner, Urban Decay eyeshadow primer (not pictured), 24/7 eyeliner in 1999, and Afterglow Highlighter in Aura, Becca Eyeshadow Quad in Astro Violet, and OFRA Liquid Lipstick in Cancun.
Overall, I like this pencil for its long-lasting, comfortable wear. Raven and Taupe look natural with my coloring, and the fine point offers control for sculpting out a brow, though I personally would have trouble using it to draw in individual hairs. It's great for travel and convenience because of the twist-up design and included spoolie brush. I'm not sure it's going to replace my HG Billion Dollar Brows Universal Brow Pencil, though. The thicker tip fills in faster, and I don't have to be as careful not to break the product, clutz that I am!
For more information, or to purchase, you can find Billion Dollar Brows on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and their website, where their Brows On Point pencils retail for $16.
