There are many things I love about getting older. Any day on the right side of the dirt is a good day, right? But my inner child isn't too happy about feeling older in my bones, or looking older in my face.. and hair. I'm a bit vain about my hair, I admit. And when these white hairs started coming out, they turned my glorious curls into kinky, course strands that stood up at the crown of my head, like a wizened Alfalfa from The Little Rascals. (Google it, young'uns!)
I am stuck, however, in an odd place when it comes to my hair. I love my natural color, and I'm not ready to color all of it. But, sometimes, I want to tame those kinky white hairs, and cover the gray at my crown. I've tried hair mascaras, but they are really hard to use on my thick curls. So when I got a chance to try EverPro Gray Away in a spray can, I was all about it.
Gray Away is super easy to use. Shake, and spray. It covers well, and fairly quickly with self-adjusting color technology that blends with my natural hair color!
I sprayed a little on a piece of white paper to see what it looked like and how easy it was to cover. This is maybe a 2-second spray. The color is multi-dimensional with different shades of brown, which helps the color to look natural.
Oh, I am not happy when I look at close up pictures of the top of my head! Look at all those scraggly white hairs! And then look at the coverage from Gray Away!
It looks great, and feels like I have hairspray on. It didn't get all over everything, or on my hands. I did get a little under my nails the first day if I scratched my head, but that was it. I've been wearing it for about a week now, and it still looks great. It does feel a little thicker at the crown after all this time, but hey, I haven't washed my hair in a week, so who's complaining?
I like that the color looks great, even after I muss up the crown a little. The root concealer just blends with the rest of my hair. I even did a fun braid up-do, and it looks awesome.
Pink and glittery brown nails, inspired by the Gray Away packaging. The pink is Zoya Azalea, and the brown is LynBDesigns Anne of Cleaves over a coat of Revlon Black Magic. |
