Not Greasy, Just Shine!

Press Sample.  All opinions are my own.
Hello, Fireflies!

Some days I want a matte look, some days dewy, but never do I want my oily skin to look greasy or shiny.  I do, however, want to SHINE, with my new brightening face oil from Amalie Beauty.

This little vial is full of a blend of some of my favorite oils, and some I didn't know I wanted!  It's vegan, and many of the ingredients are also organic.  It's also made in the USA, and is cruelty-free.
Oily skin needs oil.  I know.  Process that for a minute.  If I strip all the oil from my skin, it will go into oil over-production, making it greasy and encouraging blemishes.  Balancing our natural oil production is the key to soft, clear skin.  SHINE has ingredients like Jojoba oil, that matches so closely with our skin's own sebum that it can't tell them apart, and Pomegranate Oil, an antioxidant that has anti-aging properties.
This oil blend has several different ingredients to help boost the skin's glow and fade dark spots, too.  Lemon and Grapefruit Oils have brightening properties, but because they can both increase photosensitivity, I only use this oil at night.  Bearberry Extract and Elderberry Extract also have skin brightening properties, as well as antioxidants.  Licorice Extract, however, is the star of the brightening show.  It actually interrupts the enzymes that increase melanin production.  No melanin = no dark spots.

Inspired by my SHINE oil, I stamped with some shiny gold!  The base is SpaRitual Shrewd, and I stamped the geometrical design using plate RA-110 and Maybelline Bold Gold.
This oil does take a little while to absorb into my skin, so it really isn't practical for me to use this on days when I need to get some makeup on and get out the door.  I love it at night, though - not only does it have a chance to really soak in, but it also smells *amazing*.  The jasmine extract, along with the citrus oils create this uplifting and kinda sexy scent that I really love.  Jasmine is also supposed to be an aphrodisiac... another reason I like putting this oil on at night!

While the scent is certainly a selling point for me, this oil does seem to really get along with my oily skin.  I love all the high-quality oils, and my skin does, too.  It feels baby soft in the morning, and I do think that my skin has a great glow from using this oil.  If you are looking for a face oil to make you shine - not shiny - then you might enjoy Amalie Beauty SHINE, too!  For more information, or to purchase, you can find them on Twitter, Instagram, and on their webpage, where SHINE currently retails for $60, with free worldwide shipping!
