Hello, Fireflies!
Happy NYE! Whether you're going out and partying, or bringing in the New Year with the TV, you can still have fabulous nails, right? For me, the trend was nude, with a little (or a lot) of bling! I reached into the vault to bring up some looks you might want to try to ring in your 2015.

Christmas Card Memories
Hello, Fireflies!
Today's prompt for Sunday Stamping is a childhood winter memory. In my childhood home, the kitchen 'doors' were two shutters - one on either side. They were never closed, so I don't really think of them as doors; they were more decorative. Every year, my mom would send and receive so many Christmas cards, and the ones she received were all tucked into a slat on the kitchen shutters. By the time Christmas arrived, the shutters would be crammed full with greetings of all the people she'd kept in touch with through the years - some of them for decades!

Googly Mummies
Hello, Fireflies!
I love Halloween nail art, and I hope you enjoy the bounty of it I have for you over the next couple of weeks.
This is an easy one, pumped up with a little craft store magic. I got the idea from Pinterest. I couldn't figure out who did the original artwork.
I started with a nude polish from Bonita - bought in a collection at Ross, so of course it has no name. I then took Orly Point Blanche and made these stripes to look like my nail was wrapped loosely.
On some of the nails I made large black dots next, and some I didn't. One could also just paint a black stripe, as well.
Perfect opportunity to use my 2mm googly eyes! Silly mummies.
Eyeballs literally just rolling around in their heads..
Bottle shot: Bonita nude (unknown name), Orly Point Blanche, and Milani Black Swift.
Did you ever dress up like a Mummy on the cheap and just wrap yourself in toilet paper?

Bonita Glitter Dotticure
Hello, Fireflies!
I found a new-to-me brand of polish last time I was at Ross. I'd heard of Bonita, but hadn't ever tried it before. All of them came in those clear packs with no names on them, much like the Color Club repackaged polishes. I guess they don't think that our cheap polish needs a name, poor things.
This poor no-name is an aqua-teal color. I was pretty impressed by the quality of these polishes. And, I know the bottles are kinda weirdly shaped, but I dig 'em.
I thought this glitter was so pretty, and perfect for this challenge because it reflects both lilac and teal.
I couldn't resist a little dotticure for good measure.
Here's the bottle shot, but no names! Don't these just look like they were made to go together?
I love it when a collection is released and the polishes compliment each other so nicely. When you buy makeup or polish, are you ever surprised that they go together, or do you purposely buy makeup in sets, or do you go for the chaotic approach?
