NYE Nude Nails

Hello, Fireflies!

Happy NYE! Whether you're going out and partying, or bringing in the New Year with the TV, you can still have fabulous nails, right?  For me, the trend was nude, with a little (or a lot) of bling!  I reached into the vault to bring up some looks you might want to try to ring in your 2015.

I'm a little Crabby today

I love getting dressed for an occasion, and now that included my nails!  For a special trip with my best girls to Joe's Crab Shack, I put on some crabby nails!  This look was inspired by this mani from Holy Manicures.

First, my "beach" was made with Sally Hansen 24 Karat.

The crabs were made by mixing Golden Rose 152 (wine red) and Color Mates Romance (light red).  I used a dotting tool for the eyes (as well as Sally Hansen White Tip and Pure Ice Black Rage) and a small paintbrush for the rest of the crab.

The "water" is Borghese Mediterraneo Sea, a blue matte glitter.

I had to show everyone, even the waitress, my crabby mani.

Cousins, identical cousins... /singing

I think this is the first time I've matched my mani to my meal.  How about you?

Metallic Magenta Ma-flowers

Have I mentioned lately how much I love holos?  and nudes?  This polish is the best of both worlds - Golden Rose Iced Latte.  I wore it like this for a day, then I had to go and do stuff to it.

Flower stamps are fun and easy, and if you mess it up, it's no big deal because flowers in nature aren't perfect, either.  Some are missing petals, some are spaced weirdly, it doesn't matter.  This is Kleancolor Metallic Magenta stamped over the Golden Rose.

For a little bit of added POW, I dotted Nubar Faded Jeans into the center of the flowers.

Right hand:

A little blurry shot to try and show some of the holo goodness peeking through the stamp, even with topcoat.  I used a Sally Hansen top coat instead of my Seche Vite, because I'd read that SH was better at not hiding the holo.  I agree, it wasn't nearly as dull as when topped with Seche Vite. YMMV.

Pretty, pretty flowers!
