I recently got the opportunity to try Whisper Body Spray, a natural and organic fragrance by
Pure Natural Diva.
Pure Natural Diva was originally founded as an eco-savvy lifestyle
website, dedicated to helping families find simple ways to live a
greener, healthier life. In creating her line of products, founder Tania Reuben was determined to make every part of the process fall in line with her ecological beliefs, including using vendors who hold similar values, using materials that are reusable and sustainable, and even having their home office be 70% solar-powered!
Before being introduced to Whisper, I had really only used traditional fragrances, and maybe the occasional fragrance oil, so I wasn't used to the subtle, natural scents used in the two Whisper fragrances I tried. Of course, scent is very personal, too.
PURE is described as, "
sensually uplifting, like sunny day in a mixed field of lemongrass and Lavender. Notes include uplifting cassie, lavender, soothing chamomile, lemon, lime and an Egyptian neroli." I love citrus scents, but the citrus wasn't really prevalent in this perfume. My husband thought it smelled like Thai food (lemongrass!) and my friends noted that it had musky overtones, or smelled like coconut or celery.
NATURAL is described as, "
fresh and inviting, imagine a picnic in a rose bordered citrus grove. Notes include a hint of Clary Sage, exalting Pink Grapefruit, Moroccan Rose, and soothing Ylang Ylang." This one is very subtle, and, honestly, my husband and I both had trouble picking up on the scent. My friends thought it smelled floral, and reminded them of the beach.
In a serendipitous moment, I also discovered another great use
for them. I had company coming over in a quick minute, and they loved
playing with my 4 dogs - but my dogs weren't really in the best shape
for company. Because these fragrances are natural, I felt comfortable
not only using them on my skin, but also on my dogs. We all ended up
smelling better, naturally.

full of soul, sultry and mysterious. Notes include natural
musk derived from Ambrette, a sinfully smooth New Caledonian Sandlewood,
blended together in a lusciously robust Vanilla." and Elixir is, "
sensually uplifting. As delicious as a lingering morning
with an ocean view. Notes include aphrodisiacal vanilla, a hint of
oakmoss, exquisite osmanthus, married with rejuvenating pink grapefruit
and red mandarin."
I also got a chance to try their Radical Facial Serum. It's lightweight and absorbs quickly, and feels pretty good on the skin. In an ironic twist, to me, anyway, it is just too heavily scented for me to use on my face. This is one product I would either like in the Natural scent, or simply unscented. (ETA - Tania tells me that this product has no added fragrance; the smell I experienced was from the natural anti-aging botanicals.)
Pure Natural Diva products are vegan, cruelty-free, and free from synthetic scent chemicals and phtlalates.
