Long Live Seche and Live Love Polish!

Some product sent for review, some purchased by me.  All opinions are my own.
 Hello, Fireflies!

If you know polish, then you probably know Seche Vite.  It's one of my very favorite top coats because it's thick and glossy and it dries fast.  Did you also know that Seche makes regular polish?  I have some I'd like to show you!

I received a bottle of famous Seche Vite topcoat and my choice of colors from Live Love Polish.

I received a bottle of famous Seche Vite topcoat and Bella, a beautiful glowy blackened red

One of the reasons I chose the name of this blog is that I love these polishes that glow, like they are lit from within.  Seche Bella is a beautiful blackened red with that special glow.

I love how the light plays across the nail, picking up shine in the center and bringing out the shadows along the edge.

Seche has quite a few other colors, and I happen to own some of them.  I picked Seche Smokey out of my stash and did a half-moon nail art with a little silver glitter over Bella. Seche polishes are awesome for nail art because they are all pretty much one-coaters, which means you don't have to have layers upon layers of polish on to get the look you want.

I love that Seche Smokey isn't just a flat grey, but has some subtle blue shimmer to add depth.

I also had Seche Naive and Ostentatious in my untrieds, so I pulled them out and did this dotticure nail art with them.

I love how layering dots makes it look like there is a hole in the polish.  Applying a topcoat like  Seche Vite  makes all the layers meld together to look like one.

When you're doing nail art, one way to make sure that the topcoat doesn't smear your work is to really load up the brush with topcoat.  You want the brush to just float across the nail.  If it drags through the polish, it will likely smear it.  You can always use your finger to pull extra topcoat off the nail pushing the bottom of your finger up to the edge of the nail and then pull it away. The extra topcoat will stick to your finger.  Robin Moses shows how to do this in her videos, which is where I learned it.

Another tip I use for working with any topcoat is to work with a mini bottle.  The less air in your bottle, the less likely it is to become goopy and thick.  I just keep refilling my mini bottle so that the level stays high.

I took a quick look back in my archives, and found some nail art I did using Seche Aristocrat, a gorgeous Eggplant shimmer (can be purchased at Live Love Polish), another nail art with the bold metallic blue of Seche Hypnotic (can be purchased at Live Love Polish) and one using the hot pink Seche Snapdragon

For more information, or to purchase Seche polishes (and they carry many other brands, too!) you can find Live Love Polish on their website, Facebook, and Instagram.
