The first time I'd heard of Borghese, it was because one of their nail polishes had gotten some buzz, and I scoured blog sales until I found it. Mediterraneo Sea was blue and sparkly, and I eventually got a backup of it because it was so pretty. Now, I've gotten the chance to try some of their eyeshadows, lipglosses, makeup brushes, and eyeliner, and they've proven to be worth the buzz! Recently, I got to try 6 of their new Eclissare Color Eclipse Colorstruck lipsticks, and I'd love to show them to you.
The Eclissare lipstick line currently has 12 colors in it, and I received six of them to try. Each one is creamy and long-lasting, with no discernible scent. Three had glitter that either gave the lipstick a subtle shimmer or a glittery glow, and stayed around long after the color had gone.
The packaging on these lipsticks is really nice. Substantial black metal with a gold graduation on the cap, and a nice heft to it that says luxe. I really like that the boxes have a block of color on them that represents the color of the lipsticks themselves. I do wish that the actual tube had that same color swatch on it, because, other than the name, all the tubes are identical.
Edge is a yellow-toned tan.
Verge is a warm burnt-orange brown. Both of these would look better on someone with yellow undertones than me, but I can get away with Verge more than Edge.
Departure is a MLBB Mauve with glitter. It only gives a subtle shimmer to the lippie, and is very wearable.
Swoon is a glitterfest of gold in a sheer base. It sparkles and glows, almost like a metallic lippie. It would look great as a topper, as well.
Cusp is a light peachy neutral.
Escape is a bold coral with gold shimmer, and probably my favorite of the bunch. I wore this to a friend's house for dinner, and it lasted through dinner and some drinks. Between the lipstick and the alcohol, I felt very glam, like a million bucks! When I reapplied the lipstick, there was still some glitter and color on my lips. It's not gritty, though, just very shimmery.
If you wanted a closer look at my eye makeup, here it is, done with MUFE D-826 and D-708 over UD eyeshadow primer, with It Cosmetics No-tug gel eyeliner in brown/black and It Cosmetics universal brow pencil, and UD Perversion mascara.
I also used It Cosmetics Celebration Foundation Illumination in Light, OFRA Illuminating Blush Stripes, and Cover F/X Mattifying Primer for this look.

So, are you looking for an Escape, like me? Or is Departure more your style? Which one is your fave?
