Black polish used to be so .... Goth. Thank goodness that trend has changed, and now black is chic, fun, and mainstream. Case in point, this interesting polish from Emily de Molly:
Muted Madness. Bright, carnival-inspired matte glitters... in a black base? And yet, it works. I would have liked a little more glitter, but otherwise, I like it.
I did a dotted French tip in Milani White on the Spot. Do you think it would look better if I mimicked the red, green, and blue glitters?
This next polish isn't quite black, but it is a very dark eggplant purple, with a heavy gold shimmer. If you can say the name of this polish without thinking of Wayne's World and headbanging in the car with all your friends, you are a stronger person than I am.
NailNation 3000 Bohemian Rhapsody.
I love NailNation holos, but she even has some glitters that I'm really liking! It's so pretty, it can almost make me forget about that hangnail I tore off before I took the pix. What was I thinking?!
Emily de Molly is a brand out of Australia, and NailNation 3000 is made in the US, but you can find both on Llarowe.

Another Stamping Sunday with NailNation 3000
This week's challenge is to use an accent nail. I wasn't sure how they meant, so I did an accent both with nail polish color, and stamping color, but kept the stamp the same. I actually like this one!
I started out with two NailNation 3000 polishes. The light green one is Happy Holo-days, and the dark one with green tones is Kismit. It's a multichrome, but I thought it pulled green.
I love NailNation holos, they are gorgeous. Lots of pigment, lots of rainbow.
I don't do much with animal prints, usually, but I really like this zebra print on the Mash-41 plate. I'm pretty sure you can find it (or a similar zebra) on other plates, too.
I used Finger Paints Black Expressionism and Paper Mache for stamping. There's something cool about the spark and rainbow of a holo from behind a stamp.
Currently, you can find NailNation 3000 polishes on her facebook page (there is an album with all the polishes currently for sale - send her a message, and she will invoice you on Paypal.) Or, you can go through Llarowe. If you like holos, you need to check hers out!
Holo green zebra? yay or neighhhhhh? lol!

Indie January - NailNation 3000 glittah
Yesterday, I showed you some NailNation 3000 in a stamping mani. I have more of her holos to come, but today I wanted to show you some of the glitters of hers that I've purchased. I really think these are something special!
Sock Monkey. Reminiscent of the colors of a typical sock monkey! I love the nude-pink jelly the most. More Indies are coming out with colored milky bases, but they're usually white or grey. This polish applied beautifully, and I think it is pretty cool-looking!
Señor Gappy. I don't know who Mr. Gappy is, but I love this polish. First off - brown. I love brown polishes, and this one has micro red and holo glitters and a sparse gold flake. Gold flakes are hot, hot, hot right now, and I love that this is a complete polish with glitter and gold flakes.
The camera wouldn't capture how sparkly this polish is! I blurred the pix a little to try and show you how awesome the holo glitter is. So pretty.
Currently, you can find NailNation 3000 polishes on her facebook page (there is an album with all the polishes currently for sale - send her a message, and she will invoice you on Paypal.) Or, you can go through Llarowe. Are you more into the linear holos, the holo glitters, or glitter sandwiches?

Pumpkin Spice. This is a crazy holo glitter with micro orange glitters in a clear base. I layered it over Señor Gappy, and the holos just complimented each other.

Sunday Stamping - light over a dark base - with NailNation 3000
I love stamping... but lately, it hasn't loved me back! Another week where I can't get my stamping to go on straight...
I loved the polishes I used, though! The theme this week is light on dark, so I started with NailNation 3000 Linger, a brownish-plummy holo. Love colors like this, and NailNation holos are among my faves. Lots of color and depth.
I used my Jumbo Cheeky plate and another NailNation holo, Mozelle, to stamp a stripe of bordered roses. Such a delicate stamp, and a delicate color. Mozelle is a light lavender-leaning nude. Today wasn't as sunny as I'd like, but you can still see the rainbows!
I dabbed a little color on the roses with a third NailNation polish, Eve. Eve is a cobalt blue holo with sparkles. I just wanted a little bit of color in the roses.
Stamping definitely takes practice to find good combinations. At least in this case I really like the individual polishes even if I didn't put together a great stamped mani. Live and learn!

Do you love holos, too?

Red and glitter, glitter and red!
Over the holiday season, I've worn different combos of red and glitter, and I thought I'd compile some of them together to show you at once. So many different shades of red now, and different ways to wear it, I hope one of them suits your tastes!
