I Got The Blues #ColourPop #ItCosmetics
Hello, Fireflies!
I'm not exactly sure why I'm so drawn to blue makeup and nail polish, but I am - like a magpie to shiny! I have a makeup look and nail art to show you today incorporating some amazing cobalt blues!
One trick I have picked up from The YouTubes for doing a bold eye is to use a neutral brown as a transition, and maybe even crease color. It tends to make the edges softer, and less like you just slapped some blue eyeshadow on your lid and called it a day.
The star of this look for me is Colour Pop Coconut. Wow, that is an awesome blue. Colour Pop shadows apply best for me with my finger for deeper color, and blended out with a brush.
Even behind my glasses, the blue is strong!
I had also just gotten the latest It Cosmetics Collection from QVC with their new serum/sponge foundation - the CC+ Veil Beauty Fluid Foundation. LOVE IT. Wow, is this a game changer. I applied it with my Cargo Magic Brush, but I understand that the sponge included is pretty good, too. This stuff sets so fast, and feels amazingly light. Like I'm not wearing any foundation at all. Except my skin is radiant and even. I prefer light/medium coverage, so I didn't try building it up to full, but I think that you could, because it sets so quickly.
The set also came with their new CC+ Vitality Brightening Creme Blush in Je Ne Sais Quoi, which is supposed to be flattering on all skin tones. I think it looks very natural and light.
My nailart is an attempt to imitate my shirt design. The base is a super-sparkly blue, and I stamped over it with black.
What I used: Hit Polish Davy Jones' Locker, and stamped with Finger Paints Black Expressionism and plate BP L018.
Have you tried a serum/sponge foundation yet?
