I love palettes. So many color choices! But, there's nothing new under the sun, right? What could make me excited about yet another palette?
Neutrals are so hot right now, but if you want a pop of color, you need to grab another palette, and if you want some metallic shine, maybe another palette? Not with the Japonesque Pixelated Color Palette.
Two light neutrals with some shimmer, and two dark matte neutrals make up the Pro Basics side. Even without primer, they apply smooth, blend easily, and are plenty pigmented. Six glittery/metallic shades make up the Pixelated Color Side. Darker than they look in the pan, they apply nicely, with plenty of color, even dry. You can use a dampened liner brush to turn any of them into a sparkly eyeliner.
I love wearing glittery eyes, but I don't always want to go full-on Studio 54. I like that I can get a sheer shine with a light application, or apply with a dampened brush for more impact.
Even behind my glasses, you can see there's a twinkle in my eye.. or on my lid?
I really love the Japonesque Lip Lacquer 06, too. It is such a fun, yet sophisticated pink. It isn't matte, but is pretty long-lasting, and it leaves a slight stain. It does transfer... luckily, my niece was okay with having a slight pink Crazy-Aunt-kiss-shaped stain on her forehead for a little while.
What I used: Japonesque Pixelated Eyeshadow Palette and Lip Lacquer 06, It Cosmetics ByeBye Pores translucent powder and Hello Lashes Extensions mascara, Laura Geller Radiant Baked Liquid Foundation (light) and Blush-N-Brighten Pink Grapefruit, LuxePineapple Luxe Blush in Winter Rose, LA Girl Pro Concealer, Physician's Formula Eye Booster in Ultra Black, Billion Dollar Brow Universal pencil, and Urban Decay eyeshadow primer.
Do you prefer a shadow palette to have everything you need to create a look, or do you want a palette to be one type or color family of shadow?
