#Iwokeuplikethis

Cuepido and Bulletproof Brows are Press Samples.  All opinions are my own.
Hello, Fireflies!

If I'm not leaving the house, I often don't wear makeup.  So, when I do go out, I usually like to play with lots of different kinds of makeup! Today's look is the opposite - a minimal look with a wash of color and tousled hair, and a great nail look that looks fancy, but takes just one more step than a plain mani.

Even if I'm going for a minimal look, I still like a bit of color.  I'm not really one for the no-makeup-makeup look, but this is probably as close as I get!

The eyes are kept simple with just a single wash of color with Fiona Styles Radiant Aqua Eye Veil in Hudson, a light fill with my new favorite brow pencil from Bulletproof Brows, and a couple of coats of UD Perversion mascara, one of my favorites.  I did try to tightline with it and got a little smudgy on the lashline, but it works with this look because #Iwokeuplikethis!
I'm absolutely in love with the It Cosmetics CC+ Veil Beauty Fluid Foundation for a light coverage, natural look.  I do like setting it with powder, but it's not always necessary.  I do tend to make sure I powder if I'm using a cream blush like I did for this look, though.

What I used:  It Cosmetics CC+ Veil Beauty Fluid Foundation in Light, Cuepido Cosmetics Sheer Wonder powder, Fiona Styles Radiant Aqua Eye Veil in Hudson, Stila Color Balm Lipstick in Elyssa, Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer in Light, UD Perversion mascara, Bulletproof Brows Universal Brow Pencil, and Ulta Lip and Cheek Cream stick in Peachy.

I don't like to go out with nekkid nails, so this 2-coat nailart was perfect for a quick fix.  Both polishes are from Deborah Lippmann, and I think I picked them both up on Hautelook.

The base color is Dear Mr. Fantasy, a shimmery magenta.  I layered it with Marrakesh Express, a golden shifty topcoat with gold flakes.

I can not say the words, "Marrakesh Express," anymore.  I can only sing them like in the Simon & Garfunkel song.  Even for the commercials for the rice mix by the same name.  Then I have the song in my head for hours....

These two colors are so shifty and shimmery alone, but together, they look so complex and vibrant!  And it's so quick and easy, just like everything else in this look.  So, embrace your bedhead, put on a simple, enhancing wash of color, and tell people that you just woke up looking like that!
