Golden October

Hello, Fireflies!

Today's Sunday Stamping challenge is to use a gold base or image in support of Childhood Cancer Awareness.  One of my favorite tones of gold is rose gold, and one of my favorite types of stamps is geometric patterns, so I put them together for today's nailart!

Bejeweled Blitzen's Bu...uh, Callisto

Celestial Cosmetics Callisto, formerly known as Blitzen´s Budgie Smuggler

Hello, Fireflies!

If you saw my post yesterday.. well, it was supposed to post yesterday.  I goofed, and it went up a few hours early.  My bad.  Anyway, you may have seen the jewels I was rockin on my nails.  It wasn't the first time I'd used them, though.  I first used them in this mani.

But, I'm getting ahead of myself.  How could I not introduce this gorgeous deep purple holo from Celestial Cosmetics?  This is Callisto, formerly known as Blitzen's Budgie Smuggler.

Seriously.  Celestial's holos are amazing. (You can check out my posts on Meteoroid HERE, and Galaxy Field HERE.)

I wanted to adorn this polish with jewels, so I put on some of these mystic topaz-like rhinestones with pearl clusters, and used additional pearls on the other fingers.

I love a vampy polish when I'm rockin' the super-nubs.

Nothing says decadence like a super awesome holo dripping with jewels! What polish or makeup do you have that makes you feel like a million bucks when you wear it?

Galaxy Music!

Hello, Fireflies!

Today's Adventures In Stamping challenge was music, inspired by World Music Day.  When I did a Google image search, this was one of the images that came up, and it helped inspire my mani!

If you saw yesterday's post, you may remember how completely ga-ga I was for Celestial Cosmetics Meteoroid.  I am equally enamored of this polish, Celestial Cosmetics Galaxy Field, a deep emerald-tealish linear holo.  Another amazing formula, too!

I used Essie No Place Like Chrome and Wet 'n Wild Black Creme double-stamped with the same stamps from this large YH809 plate that I bought off Ebay.  I'm not sure who the maker is.
 Swirly bars of music!

If this were a real piece of music, it would be in the key of F.  As in WTF.

These little metallic notes have been in my stash for at least a year, waiting patiently for their time... and back they go.  They wouldn't lay flat. Kinda messed up my mani.

What kind of music would you listen to to celebrate World Music Day?  I'm an 80's girl myself! Lately, though, I have had Crowded House playing over and over in my brain.  Earworm!

Meteoroid Garden

Hello, Fireflies!

I recently discovered a new-to-me Indie called Celestial Cosmetics, out of Australia.  Can I just say, LOVE!

Celestial Cosmetics Meteoroid, a multichrome holo that morphs between gold and green and bronze

This is Celestial Cosmetics Meteoroid, a multichrome holo that morphs between gold and green and bronze.  It's really hard to pin it to one color! The formula was *amazeballs* too.  Just flowed onto the nail.

I bought these water decals from Born Pretty Store during one of their sales. (If you'd like to go shopping, feel free to use my coupon (GVX31) for 10% off!)  I love water decals - they are so easy to use.

This set has flowers AND butterflies, so it's perfect for today's challenge!

I thought it might be risky putting these reddish pink flowers over Meteoroid, but I love how they look together.  Hubby wasn't so sure it was going to work, but he ended up loving it.

I love proving him wrong.  One of the basic building blocks to our successful marriage, really.

This kinda makes me think of Japanese art.

Such a short Challenge Your Nail Art challenge this month! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
