There's Honey In Them Hills.. Black Honey

Hello, Fireflies!

I remember one of my first Clinique GWP had a little green tube with this wondrous sheer lipstick in it.  It looked dark, but applied like a gloss.  My first Black Honey!  I want to share with you this Black Honey Beauty Gift Set.  I've partnered with some other bloggers who also want to show you some of their looks with this set, and there's also a chance to win your own!

Clinique Black Honey nail polish

You know the first thing I had to put on was the polish.  I had rather expected it to be sheer, like the lippie, but noooo, it's a dark black cherry color.  It's a little streaky for such a dark color.  Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of Clinique's new nail polish formula.  I know it's supposed to be better for you - free from more bad chemicals and all that - but it's not worth it if it doesn't look good.  I want my black cherry to be dark, smooth, and glossy.

Also, and I don't know why, but the two minis I've gotten from Clinique (different colors) have both lacked any identification.  I had to make my own labels.

The set also includes the Black Honey lipstick, Intense Eye Liner, and lipgloss.  The lipstick and gloss are pretty much the same color, different textures.  I love how they look almost black, but apply with such a beautiful sheer color.

The eyeliner is the same rich color as the nail polish.

When I purchased the Black Honey set from Clinique, I also purchased the Clinique Party Pretty Gift Set, and I used an eyeshadow palette from that, along with the Black Honey eyeliner and lipstick to create this look.

I love a purple eye, and purples are very complimentary to us brown-eyed folk.  I was also trying something different with my eyebrows, going for a more defined, darker brow.  I think maybe it's too dark here.
Here's what I used to create this look:  Too Faced Bulletproof Brows, Missha BB cream, ELF eye primer, IT Cosmetics Hello Lashes Extensions, Clinique Black Honey eyeliner and lipstick, and the palette from the Clinique Party Pretty Gift Set.  I probably used the BH Cosmetics Iris Duo blusher/highlighter, and some kind of powder, but I failed to photograph them, and I can't remember.  Bad, bad blogger.
