TRI Pink B!tchy Birthday

Hello, Fireflies!

Welcome to a new month of Tri-Polish challenges! This month, the colors are pink, green, and purple.

So, lucky me, I got this hot pink, LoveSpell, from Liberty Republic SpellBound, in my June Wantable box.  Pretty, huh? Apparently, this is the maiden collection for this brand, and they debuted it in Wantable boxes.

It stained my nails, though.  It was the first time that had happened where I just had to let it come off over several days.  I only wore it for a few hours at most, too. Your mileage may vary.

Doesn't this glitter topper look like a party?  Nail Pattern Boldness Birthday B!tch is a circle glitter and holo sparkly party in a bottle. 

I'm such a sucker for circle and holo glitter.  And circle holo glitter, which this also has.  It also has green and purple glitter, which means I met the colors for the challenge! Woot!

Dance Party!

Here we are, Fireflies! The last day of the Celebrate the Occasion with the Challenge Your Nail Art group.  This has been fun for me, and I've definitely had to give some thought to these special occasion nail arts.

For my freestyle mani, I decided to do a Dance Party! So, my dancefloor is Wet 'n Wild Black Creme with a smattering of Sephora by OPI 18k gold topcoat.  Reading '70's excess already!

Check out this groovy stamping plate by Winstonia! Bell-bottoms, big hair, and disco balls! I used W216 and Essie No Place Like Chrome, as well as Maybelline Bold Gold for the stamping.

I couldn't resist pulling some of the holo circle glitters out of OPI I Snow You Love Me for a little extra bling-bling!

It's a Studio 54 Discotheque Glitz and Glam Sparkly, Gold Lame' Dance Party!  All that's missing is the coke!

Beauty Bloggers of Central Florida - Purple For Lupus Awareness #BBCFL #PutOnPurple

Do you know what Lupus is?  Lupus is a chronic, autoimmune disease that can damage any part of the body. (Lupus.org)

It's one of those diseases that is often misunderstood because the person may not 'look' sick.  They have flareups and remissions, too - so they can be fine one day and incapacitated the next.

The Beauty Bloggers of Central Florida are linking up today to show their support for one of our own who has this disease, in hopes of bringing more awareness to it.  Put on Purple today!

I started with Revlon Gwen's Crush, a red-leaning violet with an awesome shimmer. 

I needed undies for this because Lacquerhead Polish Space Cadet 2.0 is a very sheer jelly, and would take too many layers to get opaque... but look at those glitters! I really like how you can see some of the violet shimmer from Gwen's Crush, and then flashes of the holo glitters.

I really liked the way the stamping looked over the glitter in Dressed Up Digits' mani, so I tried to do something similar with Shany 20 and Finger Paints Silver Sculpture.

Purple over purple over purple - lots of layers.. kinda like Lupus, I guess. It doesn't appear to be a straightforward disease.

Jindie, Oh me, Oh my!

When people ask me about my fave Indies, Jindie Nails is shooting up that list.  Her jelly sandwiches in a bottle are some of my fave polishes to wear - especially when I want a fun pop of color.

Nude Beach.  Cool, nude cream with lots of bright colors.  I imagine those neon dots are censoring all the unmentionables on that nude beach! There are also some small white stars in the mix, but not many.  She is coming out with a version called 86 the stars for all of these polishes which I would have preferred, but the random occasional star is fine.

Princess Consuela Banana-Hammock.  If you're a fan of Friends, you need this polish for the name alone!  It is a bright yellow crelly base with neon pink and orange hexes, and a few super-size hexes to boot.

Mango With The Flow.  My personal fave.  A perfect subtle peach with silver and white hexes and the most subtle of tiny holo flecks - just a flash here and there when you move your hands.  This polish is work-appropriate, and made me feel PURDY.
