I started off with Sally Hansen Smooth and Perfect Sea. For one of their more expensive polishes, this was neither smooth, nor perfect.. nor did it come out the minty green color in the bottle. Not sure how many coats I'd need for that, but I wasn't interested in finding out.
For a dollar, I picked up the next Sally Hansen Insta-dry in Chasing Chartreuse. Loved this! It's pretty, spring-y, and applied perfectly. Love that hint of yellow. Sea looks white compared to it.
Time for some glitter tips! This is Sinful Colors Kissy. one of those mermaid-type glitters of teal/green with a touch of gold.
I wanted more gold, and more oomph, so I added a fourth layer - Cult Nails Toxic Seaweed.
Right hand, with Seche Vite topcoat:
I really love a cloud mani. And it was a good way to 'mini swatch' some colors that I had just bought. Who doesn't love a multi-purpose mani?
I've been meaning to try a cloud mani, but I'm not sure if I could paint it on my right hand...
ReplyDeleteand I LOVE Toxic Seaweed. I hope I'll get the new Cult Nails collection by this weekend!
I didn't love Toxic Seaweed when I first got it.. I had to be converted to a glitter lovah. I do now, though. You should try the clouds - if your polish is the right consistency (not too runny, not too thick) then it makes the clouds easier to do with the non-dominant hand. The insta-dri polishes were pretty perfect - and only $1 at Dollar Tree!
