I have an addiction to palettes, especially shadow palettes that also have a little color for the face. When I saw this Jason Wu for Lancome palette, with the neutrals on one side, color on the other, and a blush and bronzer, I had to get it!
With twelve shadows, a blush, and a bronzer, this palette has a lot to choose from. I don't understand why these high-end palettes can't put the names of the shadows BY the actual shadows. These are printed on the clear protective plastic, and there is also a diagram printed on the back of the box.
Swatched on bare skin, I was pretty disappointed with the color payoff in the shadows. All of the light shadows were soo light! And some of the neutrals just disappeared on my fair skin. The blush and bronzer are really nice, and, surprisingly, the black matte shadow is very nice and works great as a liner.
Products used: Ageless Derma Powder Foundation in Cool Beige, Jason Wu for Lancome Face Palette, It Cosmetics Brow Power in Universal Taupe and Tightliner mascara, Physician's Formula Eye Booster in Ultra Black, OFRA Liquid Lipstick in New Orleans, L'Oreal Youth Code Pore Vanisher, and Milani Eyeshadow primer.
How about a purple dotticure to match? The base is Sally Hansen Tyin' The Knot, and the dots are Sally Hansen Salon Purple Pulse and Purple Posy, and also a white polish.
What do you think about the combination of colors in this palette? Are you about the subtle, shimmery neutrals, or the louder greens and purples?
