Toner - It's Not For Drying Out Skin Anymore! #OZNaturals

Hello, Fireflies!

Having grown up with toner being pretty much another word for 'alcohol', these new toners blow my mind.  OZ Naturals Ocean Mineral Tonic is made to refresh your skin, not dry it out!

The main purpose of using a toner is to increase the absorption of subsequent serums applied to the skin, but this toner also improves the health of your skin.  The first ingredient, Witch Hazel, is known for its ability to reduce swelling, tighten pores, and kill bacteria.  It can help with puffy eyes, broken capillaries, and even damaged skin.  Glycolic acid is used to remove the dead skin layer, unclogging pores, and revealing fresh new skin.  MSM is used to decrease sebum production and increase collagen elasticity.  Vitamin C is an antioxidant known for brightening the skin.

OZ Naturals Ocean Mineral Tonic is 100% natural, cruelty-free, vegan, alcohol-, paraben-, and sulfate-free, and is pH balanced. It's also made in the USA.

One reason I like this toner so much is the spray applicator.  I don't know why, but it was such a hassle for me to get out a cotton pad, saturate it, and then wipe my skin down with toner.  I'm much more likely to use a toner if I can just spray it on my face.  This also makes it perfect for refreshing the skin throughout the day, and it can even be used over makeup to re-hydrate and make it look dewy-fresh again.

The toner sprays on clear, and has the scent of the witch hazel with a mineral bent to it.  It doesn't smell like the ocean to me, though.  It does take a few minutes to do its thing, so I put it on right after washing my face and then go do other things.  I love using serums, so it makes sense to me to use a toner that helps me get the most out of them, especially one like this that can also help control my oiliness and help get my morning-puffiness to a manageable level!
I had some fun with my OZ Naturals Ocean Mineral Tonic-inspired nail art!  I tried a new-to-me technique called a radial gradient, where a lighter color is applied in the center of the nail, with the subsequent rings getting darker as it goes outward.  I only used two colors for this one, though - Zoya Rayne in the center, and Zoya Cecilia on the outside.  I stamped the tree using Finger Paints Paper Mache and my St. Happy plate by GoGo Only.

For more information, or to purchase, you can find OZ Naturals on their website, Facebook, Twitter, and Amazon, where this tonic spray is currently selling for $17.49
