I love orange/coral makeup... way more than it loves me. I tend to wear cooler shades better, but I just love golds and oranges, too! Especially in summer, the bright corals just call to me with their siren song. I put together a neutral look and accented with pops of coral in my makeup, and on my nails, too!
I don't always follow that 'rule' of focusing the color on one part of the face, but I did want a light, peachy nude eye for this look. I had been lusting after a Mothers' Day gift set on Clinique that had an All About Shadows Quad palette in it, and used all four colors for this look. They are almost pastel colors, with even the brown being very soft. I also used OFRA khaki eye gel on my brows, Physicians' Formula Eye Booster liquid eyeliner in Deep Brown, and Cover Girl Super Sizer mascara.
I love the pop of coral on the lip, and even how it totally matches my shirt.
Speaking of matchy-matchy, I had to wear polish that played off the coral, too. This is actually a pinkish polish, A Study In Polish Pink Sugar Heart, with Orly Bling on top. It later became the base for a stamping mani I showed you last month!
Here's the makeup I wore: Ageless Derma Pressed Powder Foundation in Cool Beige, Clinique All About Shadows Quad, Smashbox Fusion Softlights Baked Starburst highlighter, Hourglass Ambient Light powder in Diffused Light, OFRA Semi-permanent Waterproof Eyebrow Gel in Khaki, NYX Butter Gloss in Peach Cobbler, NYX High Voltage Lipstick in Rags to Riches, Clinique Chubby Stick Cheek Balm in Robust Rhubarb, Cover Girl Super Sizer mascara, Physicians' Formula Eye Booster liquid eyeliner in Deep Brown, and Eddie Funkhouser concealer in Light.
