Spring Renewal - Pastel, Glitter, and Globs
Hello, Fireflies!
Do you ever wonder how a trend gets started? I mean, who decided it was cool to paint one or two nails a different color than the rest? Did they just run out of polish and think, hey, I don't want to take this off, I'll just put on another color?
I like having accent nails, but it is a rather strange concept, if you think about it. This is Aly's Dream Polish Salmon with accents of China Glaze Sand Dolla Make You Holla.
Sand Dolla is a textured polish. I'm still loving the texture trend, but even if you don't, a nice thick topcoat like Seche Vite will make it smooth, and tends to make the glitters pop, too. Pretty sparkleeez.
Speaking of weird trends, let's stick random things on our nails. Now, you may have noticed that I do tend to stick a lot of random things on my nails. This is because I am a follower. I don't actually look at the world and wonder, 'will it stick to my nails?'
So, here's some microbeads from Finger Paints that I stuck on my nail. Kinda looks like candy.. Easter jellybeans, maybe? Hmm. I wonder if I can get jellybeans to stick to my nails...
Bottle shot: China Glaze Sand Dolla Make You Holla, Aly's Dream Polish Salmon, and Finger Paints microbeads in Sugar-Coated.

Pretty combination with these! Love that holographic shade.
ReplyDeleteWhat are the beads made of? I still want to play around with caviar manis, but microbeads are soon to be banned for beauty purposes!
ReplyDeleteVery cute!
ReplyDeleteI love the color combo here! That Aly's polish is a gorgeous shade!
ReplyDeleteI always thought of the accent nails as "there are too many awesome colors to wear to limit it to just one". But then again, if I have the time I paint each nail in different colors, and lots of glitter toppers.
ReplyDeleteI really like that China Glaze polish!
ReplyDeleteI love Salmon (the polish and the fish!) and those beads remind me of the candy NERDS!! YUMMMM
ReplyDeleteI like the Salmon color, the China Glaze is not for me though.
ReplyDeleteVery cute mani. I'm a big salmon fan! You reminded me that I have some essence multicolor microbeads that I have to try!
ReplyDeleteAdorable! I love the look of this whole mani!
ReplyDeleteSalmon is absolutely gorgeous! ..and admittedly you had me laughing with the jellybeans. Visions of nail art with massive easter egg/beans glued on. XD
ReplyDeleteCute! I really want that CG colour, I can never find it in my area! Grrr!
ReplyDeleteLove this look without the beads! I just can't seem to get on *that* trend no matter how well done (like yours) it is! ROFL.
ReplyDeleteCute! I actually think the beads look like caviar. :)
ReplyDeleteI loveeee that Aly's Dream Polish one. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteThose nails are all Spring-y. :)
ReplyDeleteLove that salmon shade!
ReplyDeleteWhenever I see textured mani, I'm tempted to do one myself, until the picker in me says no. So I'll just sit here and type my admiration of your very fun mani.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kath - I am a big picker! And an admirer of your work!
ReplyDeleteExactly Kath. I can't do it without messing with them. Wont do it again after the 1 caviar mani I attempted.
ReplyDeletethat Salmon nail polish is so pretty
ReplyDeleteCute!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous mani!
