I have So.Much.Win to show you today. Remember when I told you about the first One Direction kits? These are so much better. Buttery, soft shadows, UV-reactive glitters and lippies, and bright mascaras! There's a lot of pictures, and swatches, too!
Let's start with the big kit - the One Direction Limited Edition Beauty Collection. There are 5 tins, each with the face of one of the band members. All the makeup is the same in each kit, but each band member decorated the inside with an eye look and some doodles.
Unlike the last collection from them, these eyeshadows are really, really good. The champagne color is a little light, but even without primer they are buttery and pigmented.
I created this look using all of the eyeshadows, plus a gold from OFRA, and the black eyeliner in the kit. The pattern is from a book I'm going to review for you - 500 Eye Makeup Designs, by Kendra Stanton. I never would have come up with this on my own.
Also included in the kit is a matte black eyeliner that I wish had more pigmentation. It came across more brown on me, though it did stay pretty well on my waterline, which surprised me.
Of the four lipglosses, only the hot pink had a lot of pigmentation, with the mauve a close second. If you want more MOAR SPARKLE, there is a lipgloss sparkle overcoat, too.
There are even two mini nail polishes in the kit! A fuchsia shimmer, and a multi-colored glitter that can either be worn separately or together.
These limited edition tins are already available at Sears USA, Target, Kmart, and Walmart Canada.
But wait, there's more! In addition to the 5 tins, Markwins has also released smaller sets with One Direction - brightly colored mascara for eyes or hair, nail polish with UV-reactive glitter, and lipglosses that are also UV-reactive!
The One Direction Liquilights Glow Gloss lipglosses come in a sheer orange, a hot pink, and a raspberry color, and are very glittery! They're moderately sticky, and the glitter hangs around for awhile, even after the gloss is gone.
Kiss You is a sheer orange that glows neon yellow under UV light. Taken, a hot pink, glows a pink-orange, and Through The Dark, a poppy color, glows neon red-orange under UV light.
Bright, neon mascara takes me back to my high school in the 80's! I rocked me some electric blue mascara then, and I'm happy to see that it's back.
These One Direction Electro Glam Mascaras can be used either on your eyes or on your hair for a pop of color! When I applied them to my dark hair, I could definitely see the color, but my camera had trouble. These are so much fun.
As a mascara, you could try putting a pop of color just on the tips, or run it all the way through the lashes. On your hair, the color is pigmented and buildable, so swipe away until you get the color you're looking for.
The One Direction Rock Me Nail Kit has two colored polishes, one glitter polish, and three powder glitters - all of the are UV-Reactive!
Happily is a neon blue jelly. It's very sheer, even after 3 coats. I used a fan brush to sprinkle each of the glitters on one nail, and brushed Diana on the end.
Kicks is a subtle blue glitter. Not Afraid is a pink shimmer. Star is a scattered holo extravaganza, and Diana is a silver bar and microglitter polish.
Moments is a neon pink jelly, a little more opaque than Happily. I applied the glitter with a fan brush, except Diana.
The One Direction Looks kits are already available at Macy's, Dillards, Boscov's, Stage Stores, Beauty Brands, and Lord & Taylor. What's more, through Saturday, they will be 30% off at Macy's, Dillards, Lord & Taylor, and Stage!
Markwins is also having a giveaway for some of these kits! I am not affiliated, and everything goes through them, but if you're interested, click here to try and win some of these for your very own: LINK TO GIVEAWAY

Even if you're not a huge 1D fan, these are some great makeup kits made by Markwins - who also bring you Wet 'n Wild. A 1D fan will love all the little extras, though, like the doodles and looks put together by the band members. These would make great stocking stuffers!
