A Good Hair and Skin Day From Maple Holistics

Press Sample.  All opinions are my own.
Hello, Fireflies!

Having clear skin and a good hair day can really add to my confidence and put a big smile on my face. So, when Maple Holistics offered me the chance to try a couple of their products that put me in a pampering mood, I was pretty happy about it!

With my curly hair, it's really difficult to find good conditioners that detangle and leave my hair soft and shiny.  I have a shower caddy full of hair masks and deep conditioners, and I was pretty sure I was never going to see a regular conditioner give me the same results as a mask.  Maple Holistics Silk 18 did all that, and with a nice vanilla scent!

I love Aloe for lots of skincare, but I didn't know that it has a structure much like our hair's keratin fibers, allowing it to penetrate the hair shaft and strengthen it from within.  There's also antioxidants like Green Tea and pomegranate, and botanical oils like Sea Buckthorn, Jojoba, and Argan.

A wide-toothed comb is my best friend when applying conditioner, to make sure it's distributed all throughout my hair.  It takes a few minutes, but there's no substitute for getting conditioner on every strand.  I leave it on while I soap up, etc, and rinse it out with cooler water.  When I'm done with my shower, I'll rub a small amount between my hands and apply it from the middle to the ends as a leave-in conditioner.

That's a good hair day, in my book!

Maple Holistics Dead Sea mud mask

When I first started using masks, I only knew about the peel-off kind.  I didn't think a mud mask would work, because it didn't peel off anything! Now that I have used them and understand them better, they're actually my favorite kind of mask for my oily, aging skin.  There's nothing like a mud mask to detox and absorb oil, and the minerals from the Dead Sea mud help replenish and nourish my skin.

Maple Holistics Dead Sea Mud Mask is so smooth and super-creamy! It has a wonderfully pleasant scent - a little minty, but mostly it smells like Clary Sage, which is a favorite of mine.  I pretty much always apply my mud masks with a paddle-type foundation brush, which helps me get a smooth, even application, and get the mask everywhere I want it - on my face, and not all over my hands.

I was so impressed with how bright my skin looked, and how soft it was, I just had to take an after picture.  I wish someone had told me about mud masks when I was younger!

A little stamping nailart, inspired by the Maple Holistics logo. I used China Glaze Gone Glamping for the base, and SephoraX Rocket Fuel for the funky French tip. I mixed Finger Paints Black Expressionism and Sally Hansen Rapid Red for the Maple leaf stamp, to give it a rusty red look.

I'm really impressed with these two products from Maple Holistics!  Their products were not only effective, but they're natural, sulfate-free, vegan-friendly, and cruelty-free.  Thanks to Edumuch for sponsoring their blogger connection program!

For more information, or to purchase, you can find Maple Holistics on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Amazon, and on their webpage, where the Silk 18 conditioner is on sale for $12.97, and the Dead Sea Mud Mask is $13.77.  They also have a multiple product discount, and a free product program.
