After The Rain
Hello, Fireflies!
I love palettes, and even though I have a lot of them, sometimes one just calls out to me and the primal voice inside me responds.. with my credit card...
Laura Mercier's Paris After The Rain palette was one of those palettes! It's so simple. Four matte shadows, and four corresponding baked shimmery shadows, in muted earth tones.
I love how even the shimmery shades are still muted, like that gorgeous steel blue. The colors really do evoke damp brick and earth, and dewy grass.
I pulled mostly from the brown shades for this look.
And here's the whole look:
The lipstick is also from this same collection. Laura Mercer Rive Droite. It's pretty sheer, and doesn't last long, but it feels amazing on the lips, like a rich balm.
What I used: Laura Mercier Paris After The Rain palette and Rive Droite lipstick, It Cosmetics CC+ Veil Beauty Fluid (Light) and Bye Bye Pores Pressed powder, Laura Geller Blush n Brighten Pink Grapefruit, UD Perversion mascara, Clinique Beyond Perfecting concealer (Neutral), L'Oreal Lineur Intense (Earthen Rock Brown), Billion Dollar Brows Universal Pencil (Press Sample) and Guerlain Meteorites.
Have you picked up anything from this collection? Are you more into pastels for the Spring, or are these muted earth tones calling to you, too?

Thank you for your comments! They mean so much to me, and I read all of them, even if I don't always have a chance to respond.
