One Drop Of Change #CoverFX #JGOB #OZNaturals #Giveaway

Press Samples.  All opinions are my own.
Hello, Fireflies!

I don't know about you, but I tend to get into foundation ruts, where I only use one kind for awhile.  For years, I hated liquid foundations because they were messy, and I only knew how to apply them with my fingers.  When I found powder foundations, I was so happy, I thought I'd never switch again.  I've recently tried some products, however, that have changed my mind again about liquid foundations, and they're all I'm using again!

If you've been a reader for awhile, you might know that I fell in love with Cover FX a while ago, and our love is still strong.  They were the first product line that showed me that I wasn't a weirdo for having aging, yet still oily and blemished skin.  Their makeup is all based on promoting the best, healthiest skin you can have - not just covering it up, but also healing and nourishing it.  They are also a cruelty-free company.

I had reviewed their Custom Cover drops before (mixed with their Illuminating Primer), but it was a sample I picked up at Sephora, and it was the wrong color for me.  I was so happy when Cover FX sent me the right shade for me (P30) and even included a couple of their new Custom Infusion Drops!

Cover FX Custom Cover and Custom Infusion Drops

The Custom Cover Drops can be added to any base - cream, sunscreen, primer, etc - and give you custom color and coverage.  The more drops, the heavier the coverage!

The Cover FX Custom Infusion Drops add specific skincare benefits to any base.  Only a drop or two is needed to infuse primer, moisturizer, or even foundation with skincare! I found these to have a very subtle floral scent when sniffed from the bottle, but nothing on the skin.  They didn't make my foundation greasy or more liquid, or change the texture of it.
The base I used to mix with the Custom drops was OZ Naturals Age Defying Solar Shield Tinted Sunscreen (SPF 30).  I have tried a lot of products from the OZ Natural brand, and I really like them a lot.  Their products are reasonably priced, effective, cruelty-free, and vegan.

I admit to not generally liking sunscreen.  Every time I say that, I feel like the Beauty Blogger Police are going to take my membership away! I can't help it, though.  I really dislike that beachy, chemical-suncreen smell.  I don't like greasy or heavy products on my face, either.  I honestly didn't have high hopes for this product at first.
OZ Naturals Age Defying Solar Shield Tinted Sunscreen (SPF 30)
Boy, was I happily surprised by this product!  No smell.  No heavy, greasy feeling.  Even the tint - which looked frighteningly dark straight out of the tube - sheered out to almost nothing.  So, finally, I have a moisturizing sunscreen that I like, but I didn't want to apply another layer on top of it to get the coverage I wanted.  Perfect opportunity to use the Cover FX Custom Cover Drops!

I love it when a combination of things turns out to be something greater than the sum of its parts.  By itself, the Custom Cover drops have pigmentation, but that's it.  The tinted sunscreen moisturized and protected from the sun, but didn't have any coverage.  Together, I have a foundation I love, with great staying power, that has held up to the Florida sunshine.
As for the other problem I have with liquid foundation - the mess - I have two solutions: sponges and brushes.  I tried this blending sponge from JGOB that works really well to give me an airbrushed look.  I haven't used a real Beauty Blender, so I don't know how it compares to the original, but I found this sponge to be a nice texture - not too dense, not too squishy.  It held up to soaking, using, and rather vigorous washing.  Using either Blender Cleanser or Dr. Bronner's liquid soap, I was able to get the sponge completely clean after each use.  (The Blender Cleanser actually worked a little better than Dr. Bronner's for me, which was a surprise!)
This makeup look started with a foundation of the OZ Naturals Tinted Sunscreen mixed with Cover FX Custom Cover Drops, and applied with the JGOB Blending sponge.

Products used:  OZ Naturals Tinted Sunscreen, Cover FX Custom Cover Drops, Cuepido Cosmetics Sheer Wonder powder, It Cosmetics Brow Power (Universal Taupe), UD Perversion mascara, Kat Von D Puro Amor liquid eyeliner, Charlotte Tilbury Eyes To Mesmerize in Mona Lisa, Colour Pop Double Dip Cheek, and Clinique Cola Pop Blush.
I also love blending brushes for applying my foundations, and I bought the Cargo Magic Brush on sale to try it out.  I again mixed the OZ Naturals tinted sunscreen with the Cover FX Custom Cover drops, but also added in the Custom Infusion Jasmine Anti-Aging drops.  Which foundation application do you like better? I think the sponge might actually be smoother!
