Have you ever wondered how some bloggers get "free stuff"? Sometimes we do get things to review, but, in truth, very little of it is free, because of the work it takes to review and write about a product. It is nice to try new things I wouldn't necessarily have found on my own, though, especially when I actually like the product!
Today, I have one of those things from my relationship with iFabbo - Hydroxatone AM/PM Anti-Wrinkle Complex.
I was expecting this to be a tiny trial size jar, but it's a substantial amount, and I really love the packaging. It's elegant and easy to use.
I am not usually in the practice of using the same moisturizer for day and night, but I did for the purposes of this review. I used this cream twice daily for about 2 weeks. I was skeptical that the same cream could work for both daytime under makeup, and at night for restoration of my aging (gasp!) skin.
It is a thick cream, but surprisingly light. It took a quick minute to absorb in the mornings, but it worked with my normal routine of putting on moisturizer right after the shower and giving myself a few minutes before starting on my makeup. At night, it felt smooth and hydrating.
Aside from the normal blemishes I get from stress (school started this week!) my skin looked and felt better! I don't have a lot of wrinkles, but I think that some of the unevenness I have on my cheeks did smooth out and look brighter.
The only drawback for me was the smell. It's not bad, per se.. ok, I admit, I'm a snob. If I'm shelling out big bucks for a product, I want it to smell nice. I want it to smell like it's expensive. This creme smells like sunscreen. At approximately $70 a jar, I want this to smell either like absolutely nothing, or elegantly fantastic.
Here's what surprised me, though. I like this creme so much, I am willing to overlook the smell. So unlike me, but my skin feels soft and amazing.
If you'd like more information about Hydroxatone, you can find them on Facebook or on their website. They offer 30-day risk-free trials on many of their products, too! I think I'm going to check out some of their other products.
Great review on the cream :)
ReplyDeleteI appreciate that, Lisa! Thank you!
