Glammed Up! with #Beneleaf #Buxom and #Arvazallia #curlsdefined

The Beneleaf Tweezers, Arvazallia Curl Cream, and NARS liner are Press Samples.  All opinions are my own.
Hello, Fireflies!

Last week, I went with my husband and some friends to a Drag Show - and, being that it was my first time, I wanted to get a little glammed up! Keep reading if you want to see my look for the Sunday Brunch show at Hamburger Mary's!

I knew that I wanted my look to incorporate false eyelashes, because every Drag Queen rocks them! I don't have a lot of practice with applying falsies, so I was all thumbs.  It was really helpful to use these Beneleaf Eyelash tweezers to hold and apply the lashes.

You don't even know how many YouTube videos I watched on applying false lashes.  All the tips and tricks - bending them, letting the glue get tacky, trimming from the outside, applying from the center, applying from the outside, you name it, I tried it.

The tweezers have a really nice grip and are thin, but not sharp, so I wasn't worried about poking my eye.  They allowed me to manipulate the lashes, put the glue on, and try attempt after attempt after attempt to get them to stick to my eyelid.

These eyelash tweezers come in a set, along with a set of regular tweezers and ingrown hair tweezers.  I really love the ingrown hair tweezers - they are really sharp, so they don't rip up my skin when getting out those deep ingrowns.  I've used them to get millia out, too.  The regular tweezers are a little bulky for fine detail work, but they are sturdy and have a good grip for those pesky strong hairs.
If you'd like more information, or to purchase, you can find Beneleaf on their webpage, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and on Amazon, where this set of three tweezers currently retails for $23.99.
I have to confess, I never did get those falsies to stick.  I was using a pair from City Color Cosmetics, and it came with its own glue.  I just couldn't get that glue to adhere to save my life.  And, I wasn't going to see the Queens with half-falling off lashes.  Wouldn't this look have been so great with some fluttering lashes, though?  I'm going to buy some new glue and try again!
I'm absolutely in love with this eye look, though, and I created it with Buxom's Look All You Want holiday shadows.  When I saw it online, I didn't give it a second look, honestly.  But when I went to Sephora, they had a tester, and I absolutely fell in love with it - especially Opal Opulence, which is has a duochrome blue/purple shimmer, and is what I used on the lid for this look.

Here's the whole face.  I'm absolutely in love with the Bite Beauty Barberry lipstick, which just feels so creamy.

What I used: Buxom Look All You Want palette, Revlon Naughty Nude blush, Becca Champagne Pop, NARS Black Valley, Bite Beauty Barberry, It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye (light) and Brow Power (Universal Taupe), UD eyeshadow primer, YSL Blur primer, and Laura Geller Baked Radiance Foundation (Light).

I also wanted to wear my hair down in loose curls, and I have been favoring two things lately for that look - one is drying my hair with sponge rollers under a hair drying bonnet, and the other is my Arvazallia Curl Cream.

I've had a lot of good results with Arvazallia products in the past, and I actually used their shampoo and protein mask in creating this look, too.  The curl cream is very thick and rich.  It smells pretty good.  I always get compliments on how my hair smells when I use Arvazallia!
The cream has both Argan oil and Dimethicone, so there's lots of frizz-fighting power!  Start with less than you think you need - too much can make the hair heavy and greasy.  With the right amount, though, I get smooth, bouncy curls.

For more information, or to purchase this rich curl cream, you can find Arvazallia on their website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, and Amazon, where it retails for $18.99.
I loved getting glammed up for the Queens... but in the end, it didn't matter.  My husband got all the attention!

What are some of your favorite ways to get glam?
