Hello, Fireflies!
Welcome to day 2 of the Week of Loooove Challenge.
Or, as Celine Dion would say, 'Lurve'.
Today's challenge is kisses, and I made letters..sealed with a kiss.
There are two whites in my arsenal that I think are great as bases. One, Cult Nails Tempest, is an *almost* one coat white, glossy. I love it. The other, Milani White On The Spot is really glossy, but takes two coats, at least.
I was inspired by Nailstorming's letter design. This is where having a different shaped nail can be interesting. Her nails looked like envelopes. Mine look like weird M's.
I made little hearts using a dotting tool and Nina Ultra Pro in Acai Berry. Love letters!
I wanted my kisses to have a little sparkle, so I used Sally Hansen Sugar Coat in Pink Sprinkles. It's a texture, too, but topcoat covers that.
Muah! Sealed with a kiss.
Bottle shot: Milani White On The Spot, black striper, Nina Ultra Pro Acai Berry, and Sally Hansen Sugar Coat Pink Sprinkle.
When my husband and I were first dating, we didn't have e-mail, so we sent a lot of letters. Real paper-and-pen letters. Have you ever sent a love letter or a secret admirer letter?
Cute love letters! I love that you added kisses to it too :)
ReplyDeleteAs many letters as we sent, I wonder if I really did leave lipstick on any of them? lol
DeleteAww, such sweet tiny envelopes, love letters for sure :)
ReplyDeleteTiny nubs, tiny envelopes, BIG love. :)
DeleteThat is a very darling manicure, perfect for Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I miss the days of getting mail - now it's just junk mail and bills.. but this reminded me of those long-ago days!
DeleteOooh I did vday nail art today! I don't have a whole weeks worth though lol. Ah well...
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute idea! I need to get a nice basic white like that Milani. It looks opaque and non streaky. Perfect base!
You're smarter for doing one and keeping it all week! I have no life, lol. I like the Milani. If you can spring for the extra (or wait until there's a sale) nothing beats Cult Nails Tempest, though (and her 1-coat black, Nevermore).
DeleteThis one makes me smile! <3
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks! That makes me feel good!
Deleteawww those are so sweet! You're nail art is always so creative - you have great ideas :)
ReplyDeleteThat's such a nice compliment! Thanks, Destany!
DeleteOk I love this design! It's so neat I love how you break it down.
ReplyDeleteI really appreciate that! Of course, now I hear rappers in my head saying, "Break it down, y'all!" lol. Hugs!
Deleteaw this is adorable
ReplyDeleteTotes adorbz! lol!
DeleteCute design and not one you see all the time!
ReplyDeleteI did get the idea from someone else.. but *I* added the kisses! lol
DeleteThose are the cutest love letter nails I ever did see.
ReplyDeleteProb'ly the ONLY love letter nails you ever did see. LOL! Thanks, Erika!
DeleteCUTEST SWAK EVER!
ReplyDeleteOMG! I love that you used 'swak'. I haven't seen that in years!
DeleteI like the lips.
ReplyDeleteMy lips really are one of my best features. Oh, you meant the ones I painted. ;)
DeleteHow cute!
ReplyDeleteNo better time to be cute than Valentines' Day!
DeleteWow! These are absolutely adorable!! LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I wonder how long it will be before no one even recognizes an envelope anymore!
DeleteAww, that's super cute!
ReplyDeletecute overload! lol
DeleteSuper cute!
ReplyDeletethanks!
DeleteYou got the kiss marks so spot on! Great attention to detail
ReplyDeleteThank you! I was a little worried about freehanding those!
DeleteI have visions of your adorable hubby kissing your fingertips!
ReplyDeleteLOL! He would be the first to tell you, though, that he only has one lip, so his kiss marks would be lopsided.
DeleteSigned, sealed, delivered! Nails sooo cute!!!!
ReplyDelete"I'm yours!" Earworm!! LOL
